Date men and women from Canada / British Columbia / Esquimalt, 48 year old

Date a soulmate from Canada. ...begin here.
So why are we here? To find a connection, a better reality, a meaningful relationship, a companion, confidant, friend, lover, soulmate? Me too. Let's explore this.
I love to laugh and enjoy making others laugh. See, that line appears in every profile and is not nearly as interesting as demonstrating this desire as, "I once laughed so hard I DIED. I REALLY DID!... But I got better. So it's all good."
I'm really fit and trim and attractive. Another common line in every profile. I like, "People come up to me on the street and say 'You're good looking and you look like someone famous.' I say 'I am but don't tell anybody.' And they say 'Who are you?' and I say 'I'm Batman.' And they say "No you're not' and I say 'I look a lot different without the mask. Should I take it off now?' And then their head explodes. I hope they get better..."
If you're still reading, good. The first part of this profile hopefully weeded out people that take life too seriously, can't take a joke, are really uptight, view the glass as half empty and can't understand or appreciate that clever written expression is a sign of an interesting and active mind, twisted content notwithstanding.
OK, we've got 3 minutes left, unless you are a really slow or fast reader. I hope you're average. l
Actually I hope you're amazing. I hope you dream huge, enjoy holding hands all the time, act on a whim, give great hugs, smile at dawn, cry during sad movies like "The Muppets Take Manhattan" or "Happy Gilmore". I hope your physical beauty is more than skin deep and your inner beauty is reflected on the outside. I hope that if I saw you on the street and smiled, you'd smile back and say hi, and I'd have the gumption to say something witty like, "Hi, I'm frogged when spectacles are for three huh?" as I would be so taken aback by your beauty, spirit and aura, I'd melt. And hopefully you'd see beyond the dorky awkwardness, and respond, "About 4:30" and then we'd laugh and I would mime "Let's go out for coffee or a glass of wine". You'd respond in braille. Or via telepathy. That would be cool.
Notice that I said I hope you're amazing, but not perfect. No one is. Well, I am. At least that's what most profiles tend to insinuate. I'll leave judgement of perfection or lack thereof to how you respond to this entire profile. BTW, I'm not really perfect. If you are, I'm good with it, as perfect things are hard to come by these days. And just hanging around perfection might help me to fully appreciate my shortcomings. Or perhaps inspire me to lower my standards and claim perfection as well. I think I can do that. OK, disregard the entire previous paragraph. I am NOW perfect. Wait. No I'm not. False alarm.
Wow, only 2 minutes left. Quick, think about what it is you want to read about in the next paragraph! Got it? OK, I'll answer it now.

OK. Time's up.
Wait, you say there's one more minute?
Well, I'll give this last, precious minute back to you. I hope you'll use it to drop me a note, say that you liked/hated/didn't understand my profile. You were kind enough to offer me 4 minutes, I would be less than a gentleman if I did not give you the last, most valuable minute back.
Here's hoping we connect.

Meet single man from Canada. I consider myself a fun loving guy with a definite passion for adventure. I am comfortable with myself and looking to share some quality time with someone who is kind, caring, confident, and compassionate. A wonderful woman who is down to earth, balanced, loves to converse, and who enjoys romantic walks along the sea wall or where ever is intriguing. I long for a fun loving gal with a lust for the outdoors and a sense of adventure! If this is you, please feel free to mail me.

Date people from Canada. I own my company and I enjoy my work . I believe that life should be a healthy balance between work and fun. For fun I enjoy going to movies, concerts and live theatre. I love to laugh so in particular I love comedy shows such as Two and a Half Men, Just for Laughs and Big Bank Theory. I also enjoy reading, listening to all types of music, hiking, traveling, cooking, working out (at least two/three times a week), kayaking, biking and spending time with family and friends.
I consider my greatest accomplishment to date to have raised two smart, independent, wonderful kids who even though they have their own lives at ages 20 and 23 still enjoy hanging out with me.
I am tall and being 5'10" has its advantages, for instance you won't have to get anything down for me from the top shelf (but I'm hoping you're tall enough that you could if I asked you to) My friends tell me that my caring nature and sense of humor are my best assets but you be the judge! I believe that honesty is the best policy so what you see with me is what you get.
I am looking for a caring, passionate man with a sense of humour. A man who enjoys sharing a glass of wine on the deck on a warm summer day or curling up watching a movie on a rainy miserable day. A man who wants to travel to experience the different cultures of the world or to just relax in the warmer tropical parts of the world. A man who enjoys exercising to stay healthy not for vanity.
Well that's about it. Anything else you want to know just ask me and I'll be happy to tell you. Maybe :)
