I never realized so many women were members of book clubs. I think if more single men new this they may opt out of the weekly poker night to join a book club. Seriously, wow! For someone who is writing their first book though, that is very encouraging news.
I have spent the last two years really working on making myself happy and not so much worried about making anyone else happy (my children the exception). Kind of like taking a step back and taking a deep breath. I have really enjoyed it. My children live with their mother and we have a very good relationship.
I lead a very active life and when I say active I don’t mean gardening or working around the house. I have done that and I can do that but I prefer not to. I work out or exercise at least 5 times a week for a couple of reasons. One, I enjoy being healthy and in great shape, but two and most importantly and as I tell my friends when they ask, I work out because I love food. I love to travel, day trip, weekend, week or two weeks. I have been very lucky to have a career in broadcasting that has allowed me to travel and do a lot of things. I love music, the sound track to life and enjoy pretty much all kinds and prefer small intimate venues to the concert stadiums.
I can be quite sarcastic and a bit of a geek at times but I really don’t want to act my age all the time. Life is about being happy. I am an optimist through and through.
What am I looking for, humm. Let me try and shed some light on this. You need to not feel the need to complain every time you have mediocre or bad service. You know and love the expensive brands but don’t judge those who don’t. You look great in your little black dress, but rock a pair of jeans and a t-shirt. A bathing suit is your friend not your enemy and who cares what anybody else thinks! You drink red wine but only when you run out of white (not a deal breaker)You prefer sunset to sunrise, but an early t-time does not scare you. Your prefer dogs, but your ok with cats. You love your bb or you’re IPhone but you don’t take it to the washroom with you. You enjoy watching most live sports and will tolerate my passion for watching The Vancouver Canucks play and I will pretend to enjoy watching “Say Yes to The Dress” (or a re run of Sex in The City but only the HBO un edited versions) and last but not least, you look for your spare change to throw into the musician’s hat on the street rather than be annoyed at them for taking up space.
I think that’s about it, we can cover the rest over a coffee/tea/drink. I am not really up to weeks and weeks of email, if it’s got potential, let’s meet.
