My friends would describe me as loyal, brutally honest and dependable. I would tend to agree, but I would add in I tend to wear my heart on my sleeve and easily fall for the sob stories and have been used as a doormat from time to time. On reflection, I would rather help when asked, then turn away from those who really need the help.
For fun, aside from kayaking, canoeing, hiking and photography I am continuing to learn new things. Recently restarted ground school and I love reading. Most of my books I donated before I moved west, but I am rebuilding my library. It includes everything from wildlife biology texts books to fiction, pilots handbooks to cookbooks. You have one life to live, you better learn as much as you can, so you can bore to tears the folks in the retirement home.
I am a strong supporter of wildlife preservation and successfully lobbied with the Bear Alliance of Canada to end the spring bear hunt in Ontario. I support the WWF ( no not the wrestlers) and GreenPeace. My childhood dream was to become a wildlife biologist. I haven't set aside that dream, just waiting for the right time to act on it. Till then, I'll do my best to support those who are fighting for our enviroment, if only by handing them checks.
I regret to inform you all that I do not park my butt in front of the TV all day on Sunday and watch non stop football, so you will have to actually spend time with me. just don't take me dancing, I suck at it. I try really hard but only feel I'm succeeding when I am slightly sloshed. I just have no rythmn, but I was the star Sprite in my Kindergarten play. Have the pictures to prove it.
