I am a Sale Engineering Manager for a local Vancouver based technology firm. It's dynamic and challenging and it seems everyday customers find new ways to use our technology but also new ways to break it :-).

I moved back to Vancouver last year after spending the better part of three years living in Carlsbad, CA (about 30 minutes north of San Diego). I loved it there but Vancouver is where my heart was/is. I grew up on Vancouver Island and went to UBC after graduating (with a year spent living and studying in Holland in between).
Right now I work at Local Public Eatery in Kits and do carpentry during the day. I'm going to school at the Justice Institute of British Columbia for Intelligence Analysis. My free time is usually spent getting outside either swimming, hiking or running. I love getting out on the water; I used to swim competitively at the national level so anytime I can get in or on the water (sailing, kayaking, swimming, etc.), I'm happy to do so.
I'm pretty laid-back, calm, sarcastic, patient ... I pick up on quite a few things, even though maybe it seems like I haven't. I love sports and hopefully the Canucks will go on another long playoff run this year. I play in a flag football league and do some cycling.
I read a fair bit, though it usually comes and goes in waves. I love a lazy Sunday with a nice, long brunch. I'm a dog AND a cat person. I'm a huge fan of Community and Parks and Rec.
I guess that's about it. It's kind of scattered, but go ahead and say hello, wink, poke, like, whatever you prefer, and we'll go from there.
. I am an energetic outdoorsman I love to fish go camping hicking 4 wheeling and mountain biking i injoy working on my truck and car. I like action movies comedy and nature shows. I was born and raised in BC.
. In terms of background, this is what you need to know- I love breakfasts, I love to fish, I love flannel, I love to backpack, I love a good coffee, I can appreciate a good red wine, I love plaid, I enjoy bagels, I also love that guy from those Dos Equis beer commercials. I dislike fractions.
Additionally, you should also know- I grew up on a farm so I love animals and the outdoors. I have my Bsc, majored in bio. I love to travel. My country count is at 12 so far. I like to live life beyond the norm. A few people have said I could be the next George Clooney... That part is actually not true, no one has ever told me that.
I've worked or interned at various zoo's over the last 10 years. I've been a zookeeper for everything from giraffes, zebra, lemurs, tapirs, cranes and everything in between.
I will probably be the only person you ever meet that was nearly eaten by a Himalayan brown bear but lived to tell about it... That part is actually true-- shoot me a message if you'd like to hear it.
