In my spare time I like to volunteer for organizations in line with how I want to see the world change . . . as well as spend time in nature, or travel to an interesting place and take in the scene.
Have traveled, have lived abroad, have resided in the larger cities right across this vast country of ours . . . and now have recently landed in Victoria, close to my retired folks. Meet a man from Metchosin, Canada. Like most people the idea of meeting people online used to freak me out, but these are modern times and I'm a modern guy. Where do you meet people these days anyways with out feeling like your invading there space or privacy? Really this form seems more sane than meeting in a bar.
Without giving away too much I consider myself intelligent, compassionate, tolerant, loyal, pragmatic and open to all the possibilities life and people have to offer. I don't really have a type or kind of person I'm seeking in particular, but of healthy mind and body would be nice. That said I don't really need to know, or care, how many times a week you workout. I do tend to appreciate those who walk there own road to the fashion/style, I'm so busy, fabulous, object oriented type. Self confidence is great but there does seem to be a lot of narcissism masquerading as self confidence these days. That said chemistry is a strangle fickle bunch of atoms I don't fully understand and ultimately is the decider. Mostly it would be nice to meat someone who I like and who likes me with whom I can get out or stay in which and enjoy ourselves.
I have my things I like to do. I play some sports and run and get semi-serious about it sometimes. I like all the outdoor activities our little corner of the world has to offer but can be a homebody at the same time. If I you share my interest that's great, if not that's fine too. I don't think people need to be exactly the same. Independence seems like a good thing to me.
As I get to know myself better I'm finding out that I may be a bit type A (or A- anyways) personality wise. This has it's ups and downs like anything else. I like people who stand up for themselves are willing to engage in debate and challenge my opinions. I do have a few. I am likely much more on the left side of things that the conservative. I don't really enjoy stress and probably do not function best under it. I try to prepare my self well for most situations and arrange my life so stress can be avoided as much as possible.
I am nowhere near as serious as I am probably sounding. I am quite playful and young at heart with a pretty wicked, cheeky, sarcastic sense of humor. It can be a bit dark at times but it makes me laugh.

At work I manage a large business unit and enjoy setting the direction and leading. At home I prefer an equal partnership, each of us bringing our unique strengths and learning from one another.
I am a true gemini. Sometimes I have a strong personality for better or worse. I can be very outgoing, funny, sarcastic and opinionated. If I'm comfortable, I'm the life of the party.

At the end of the day if I had to sum it up, I am an amazing mom to my 5 year old daughter, I work hard and have been very successful, I love the pursuit of education and learning, my family and friends mean everything to me and I give myself to others unconditionally and with love in my heart.

I have no expectations about meeting the perfect person though I feel you have to put yourself out there sometimes and take your chances that 'your light' shines for someone else.
This process can be a little challenging to begin with especially when you are initially shy. But it doesn't mean I can't trek local or south american mountains or travel the world in a bid to conquer this foe.
