As a relative newcomer to Victoria I'm still enjoying the change of pace and everything island life has to offer. Learning new things and exploring different parts of the amazing island is my passion.
My interests include outdoor activities of all kinds, adventure, hiking, road trips, politics, business, healthy living, and last but not least, great food. Food is a simple pleasure best shared with a special someone. I would luv to take a cooking course and learn how to make more delicious meals. I do enjoy the occasional glass of good red wine but have recently taken a break from it while I focus on fitness.
As a self-employed, business guy I am very independent (financially and personally) and like to steer my own ship. I believe that we are all works in progress and that positive changes come to us if we are open and work toward it. I have faith that I can meet the right lady to share all of the wonderful experiences yet to unfold in this amazing life.
On a lighter note, I am a bit of a car guy and enjoy getting out on road trips whenever possible. My last road trip was to Oregon and it was a blast. How about joining me for another adventure?

Some of my friends would say I am outgoing, funny, a renaissance women, others would say IРІР‚в„ўm shy and reserved. I am fortunate to have lived a great life thus far. Done lots of the grown up responsible things like career, raised an amazing step-daughter and achieved lots of the material stuff one typically strives for. It's been nice but now I'm looking for that which is more inspiring and holds greater meaning.

To be strait, I am widowed in the last year. What I can say about that is I have learned more about myself and my ability to love unconditionally that I ever could have imagined. My friends and family are important to me, as is laughter. Secondly I don't live in Metchosm (not sure why it says Metchosm, not that there is anything wrong with it) but, I am a Fernwood resident and love our boulevard gardens and painted poles :)
I can ramble tons of 'simple pleasures' that cost little or next to nothing. I have some weird quirks, but I like them, well most of them without being too much of a perfectionist. I have an unconventional schedule that allows for lots of flexibility with multiple days off and a couple weeks off a few times a year, something else I like.
I love my vocation, it takes a special individual to care for people the way nurses do. But with crazy hours and shift work, self care is placed high on priorities. I go for massages regularly and don't mind sharing my experiences with reciprocation to a partner. Having a fit body also helps in this profession. I mostly go to work in my pj's, aka scrubs (I do have the sexy nurse dress too), spend a lot of time in fitness wear, so putting on that blouse and boots brought back from Italy is something to look forward to.
I love to cook and eat healthy. Dark chocolate (especially with port) is a weakness though. Going to tasting venues is a fun pass time as well as open air markets. I take pride in being sustainable and growing my own veg and berries. I think home improvements would be a bonus shared with someone... and antiques are heavy to move around oneself.
In my spare time you will find me getting outdoors with nature... hiking, biking, kayaking, jogging, gardening, skiing, camping etc, I don't melt in the rain, I have a dog :) I am up for adventures, and don't mind an all inclusive with activity. I've travelled to some amazing places and have a current bucket list I am working on with adventures close to home as well. I do 5 star and a 40lb pack with stove and mattress equally well, without complaints. I have no trouble making an itinerary or being spontaneous. I do have trouble in what to pack and bringing the right things, you would think one would eventually learn???
I am caring in and out of my profession, but affectionate and intimate in a relationship. I have wonderful friends who do amazing fun things I am always included in. I think if people are bored,they are probably boring...I'm looking to share the wonderments of life with someone special, maybe we can meet along the way and see where that goes.
