I understand that there's a time to give and be loving and understanding. I also believe in standing up for what I believe and not being walked on. I'm always there for my friends and loved ones. I don't run from adversity. I care what people think of me because I believe in being the best man I can be. I want people who come across me to think "hey what a cool guy". It's not about attention for me. It's about the importance of one’s own honour and respect for those around him.
GOALS: Looking to find property and build new house which will incorporate a number of green technologies. I'm not sure yet but I'm exploring many ideas. WHAT MAKES ME DIFFERENT: I was raised by a single mother. Watched her get hurt many times. Made me believe how important it is to treat a woman right. Music: I love music; all music everything has a time and a place. I'm a guitar player (in training) for life.
I am a very hard working dedicated person and I live life to it's fullest. I laugh often and am optimistic. I think my humour is contagious :) I have young children, ages 5 and 8, that I simply love. My 8 year old is soooo smart that we are able to have intellectual conversations (or does that mean I have the intellect of an 8 year old?). My 5 year old is fun too but is the complete opposite of the other, just full of energy and very curious.
I am a lifetime student and I have 2 undergrad degrees, currently working on my PMP and a LEEDS cert., and I'm thinking of doing an MBA or LLB. I tell myself I will stop after this one. I guess I just like the challenge :) but time is a factor.
In my free time I spend lots of time with my children (they don't live with me, but they live on the island), play, exercise regularly, mountain bike, sailing, and biking in the summer. I always busy doing something. Oh and I LOVE to cook, as I’m a bit of a foodie;

Walking in the forest after the rain, a great round of golf, swimming, sloppy movies, a really great meal(in or out), exploring new places anywhere in the world, you get the idea! I love living here because of the variety of things that there are to do and find them much more fulfilling when done with another person. Although I like my own space (but don't we all?) I'm a secret romantic who needs to find a person who will take me for who I am and not try to turn me into who they want me to be. I have had my share of heartache and would rather not have to go through it all again but as they say 'who dares, wins!'. It is one of lifes risks, but one well worth taking for the reward is happiness and we all deserve a little bit of that. The most important word in any kind of relationship is respect and I think if you respect others then everything else just falls into place naturally. My friends say I am an outgoing woman, with a zest for life and even a zany sense of humor, I think that is a good thing, you may have to decide yourself. I keep up on the world news and am an avid CBC I and II listener, not that I agree with it all but it is more interesting than most radio. My favorite TV shows are on PBS except for Modern Family.
I am self employed and a lifelong learner. I make a point of getting better at my career, I find it satisfying. I have been known to be called 'Cliff Clavin as I know just a bit about a lot of things and it can get me in trouble.
For fun I like to bike both Mt. and road. I enjoy road trips and hiking new areas. I used to kayak a lot but think it safer with a partner as I have respect for the water. I would like to get back into it in the next few years.
Travelling and a bit of adventure is important to me. I have been to a number of countries and love meeting people and exploring the culture. I want to get to India in the next few years, bike up the Rhine Valley and visit the Galapagos Islands among other things. We also have a fantastic Island here so I am sure to keep busy here too. Do any of these things sound interesting?
My friends say to make a list of what I want in a partner but I am not a laundry list kinda girl, I am more of a chemistry kind of woman.
