Sometimes to enjoy it we have to work hard and sacrifice for the future... but thats all part of the fun, right?
I grew up in Langley township, so I have had just about every type of pet you can imagine. From Hampsters to Horses, i've had them all, and sometimes a few of each. I enjoy country living. I like sitting on the deck on a summer morning with the sun just coming out, the smell of last nights dew evaporating and the crisp feeling of the fresh air. I can appriciate the city and how amazing it can be in so many ways, but I have to live somewhere I can't see in my neighbors bathroom window through mine, and I don't need an elevator to go home.
At this point right now I feel like I'm in a good point in my life. I have a very secure day job, as well as a steadily growing side business which will one day soon be my main source of income. I have the greatest family anyone could ask for, I have a hard time understanding how some people don't get along with their families as if they were best friends, I don't know where I would be without them. I love to laugh and make other people laugh too. I'm a really sarcastic person, so some people don't get the joke, but that usually makes it more funny.
I bought my own home two years ago in Mission. It is far away from anyone I know and often go three or four days without seeing friends or family, but its okay. Moving was something I felt was neccessary, it is one of those sacrifices for the future that I was talking about in my first paragraph. I wanted to set myself up for the future so that when I finally decide to settle down, I will have the ability to put my family in a respectible home in a good town. I am very goal oriented My mind is always on five things at one time, so I often have to set short and long term goals to keep my imagination from running away from me.
I have a thing for cars and trucks. The side business that I mentioned is automotive service and customizing. Working on cars is something that I can't remember starting, its just always been there, a part of me. Servicing, like oil changes and brake jobs, aren't the most fun things to do, but I'm good at making your car run better, and it pays the bills. My heart is in customizing. I really love taking a car or truck that you see millions of every day and turn it into something that you cant take your eyes off of, a type of rolling art, that can trigger every sense in your body. I always tell people to take pride in their vehicle because the car you drive is an extension of your personality, and I truly believe it.
Playing sports are a big part of my life as well. I prefer competition over the treadmill. My favorite sport is Baseball, I have played every year since I was 5 years old and will continue until I'm too old to run and swing a bat.
I am very confidant in my area of expertise, and enjoy teaching other people about it, but I know when I'm in over my head and sometimes enjoy just sitting back and listening to someone who knows more than me... i might just learn something.
OH, and music... love it, lol. There is a song for every moment and one of my favorite parts in life are when your ipod picks the absolute perfect song for the moment... those three and a half minutes just drive home the fact that I love this life, and would trade it for nothing.
