Date a guy from Nelson, Canada. A few things about me: I have an unusual (but healthy) appetite for peanut-butter-which I try to satisfy through periodic self-indulgence. I used to teach climbing to kids (who thrived on dorky humor) and as a result I frequently found myself in the midst of sarcastic bouts with my co-workers. My guitar sees as much practice as I can afford to spare and I've managed to keep my vocal abilities somewhat restricted to the shower-although I occasionally make an exception for the odd listener. Huge fan of the Urban Peasant. As a kid, I spent more time watching James Barber and his cooking show on CBC then following reruns of Transformers-it was pretty tough (albeit odd) to run around the playground pretending to wield a spatula instead of laser-guided torpedoes...not much of a match-up.
Currently I'm on summer break from college and I've found myself two local jobs. I've landed a summer gig in Environmental Planning and a supplemental job at a great outdoor shop. I have to admit, Nelson has been a big switch (having recently moved from Calgary) but the lure of the Kootenays has proven quite rewarding given that I'm the type of guy who would much rather camp out, play some music and sleep under the stars (as cheesy as it sounds). As far as future plans go, I'm a bit of an open book-although I would like to stay in B.C. Would love to do some good treks out along the B.C coast this summer, but I've also made a commitment to learn to whitewater kayak, so I'll probably try to balance time between the two.

I am really into adventures and exploring and ...buried treasure! harrr. I have a great job that stimulates my mind and body. I love water and rocks. While hiking I tend to scan the forest floor for the coolest lichen or flower or salamander. I don't usually follow a recipe although if I start to then I usually end up changing it. When I meet someone for the first time I like asking them odd questions because repetitiveness bores me. If I can jump right into an interesting conversation with someone you will be more likely to a) remember the person and b) enjoy the experience. IWhen I see garbage I pick it up. I always make my own halloween costume. climbed my first 5.11 this spring which was soooooo exciting! I'm more of a one on one person preferring to hang out with/get into trouble with small groups of people. Love jokes, bluegrass and choppinwood, picking flowers, mornings and bringing friends from different circles together.
A couple years ago I tried this online thing and went on a couple dates which were ok but it still seemed really odd to me. This time I am looking for someone to do activities with. Lets start off as friends! (Please no heavy substance abusers or fpeople interested in lings).
Lastly I think before you can truly love someone else you have to love yourself. I am comfortable with and like who I am and I hope you do too.
