Date someone special from Canada. oh boy, I am a calm, relaxed person with strong opinions, kind of a contradiction. One of my favourite things to do is drink coffee and discuss something important, not fight just work it through. Holding in emotional issues is not helpful but needing to talk about relationships and feelings is usually irritating and not useful. I like things, apart from work, to happen. At this time in my life I am free to do what I want, I am not answerable to anyone but myself. Which of course means that I am answerable to those who love me and I love.
I have been on my own for a couple of years. At this time I value my male and female friends and my two adult children and two grandsons. I am not a needy person but as my title suggest, getting a little tired of my own company. Just like to do a few things with someone I look forward to seeing. I love that feeling of looking forward to hearing from someone, to seeing their face in the distance, to enjoy another person's smell and to want to cook, make, buy something special for another person.
Regarding sex, well, I do not miss it that much. This is certainly not motivated by a need for sexual intimacy, but it would be nice to want to be with someone who does not turn me off or make me feel uncomfortable. I have never had random sex with someone I met at a bar. I did however get married when I was just 18 and we met on Valentine's day and were physical right away. So, not a prude but not trying to be younger than I am, ie mini skirts and tight cleavage showing tops, just so you know.
I am very body conscious and vain. My looks have always mattered which of course makes aging difficult. But what can you do, if it was not for wrinkles I would love this age!
Travel and adventure is what I want in my future. When I was married and the children were young adolescence we travelled to europe a few times and we all enjoyed that trips. My son is a great traveller, loves to go alone to places like India, china, japan, costa rica, england and many more. He is currently studying to become a social worker! Odd choice for him. My daughter is a teacher and has my two grandsons, they are wonderful and give me a lot of joy. We spend as much time together as possible.
Funny to write so much about self and not worry about using i, my, self.... I love colour, comfort, nice things, beauty, gardens, good smells, food with a lot of flavour. I am a type one diabetic who does not eat meat. But, I am not a purist and certainly do not get upset if someone loves hambergers.
A perfect day would include a tasty breakfast, a long walk or hike, a flavourful meal, good company, lots of laughter, being with someone who i want to be with.
