I'm a very driven gal, and I work a lot. I'm a Production Manager at an animation studio in Vancouver and I also teach fitness classes a few nights a week - which consist of 98% women. That doesn't leave a lot of time in between to meet people! I also just recently bought a place of my own, which is an awesome feeling I must say.
In my free time, I love going to see movies, reading a good book (reading the Game of Thrones series right now), going out to restaurants - anything really! In the summer I love playing volleyball, getting out on my bike and being outside as much as possible, cause let's face it our summers are SHORT! I'm pretty well over my partying phase, and though I'm fine heading out to a club every so often for a good dance, I wouldn't want to be there every weekend. I really like making good use of my weekends and prefer to not spend them hungover in bed. :) That being said, I enjoy a few drinks and dinner after a long week of work, or spending a summer afternoon on a sunny patio.
I love my family more than anything. My parents are both still out on the prairies where I grew up and I try to go back once a year, and they come out here a couple of times a year to visit. I also have the most amazing nephew in the universe, seriously...he's incredible. He's out in Kelowna, and I wish I could see him more often.
I'm grateful for all of the things I have in my life, and on my bad days I try and remind myself of everything I've got and how truly fortunate I am. That's how I try to live my life overall.
