I have had the intention of paying the key deposit for the gym in my building for a very long time but when it comes down to it I always end up going for a run or stroll around the neighbourhood instead, basically I am very active but not so much into the gym I guess. I love all things marine and hope to get out kayaking alot more this summer. I completed my Paddle Canada cert last summer (ok I know its only basic but its not bad for a woman who group up in a city with 7 million other people and the closest river being the Thames).

I can't get enough of being outside especially in the summer and love to get away in a canoe or kayak to a beach either with a group of friends or without. As much as I like getting away outside I also enjoy relaxing at home cooking with someone and watching a movie, or meandering around the city stopping off at a pub or two and searching out quirky hole in the wall places.

. Update: never knew dating would be a challenge. Developing friendships through technological means is seriously strange. I dont think that a month of texting accomplishes anything and in no way can further a relationship. I am old school. Call make a plan, meet in person and take it from there. People don't really think that texting will lead to anything "real" do they?
How do people talk about themselves without seeming to be self absorbed and narcissistic. I am not a super model and am not perfect. I am a work in progress. I am a bit of a nerd and comfortable with that. I find humor in most situations. I have good points and bad and am self aware enough to be able to call myself on my own stuff. I've got a sense of humor about it too. I tend me be a bit sarcastic in a loving sort of way. I guess I have both an east coast and west coast vibe concurrently.I am not really a fan of the current dating climate but I guess to find a worthy man dating is mandatory. The part I find difficult is the constant texting. I think that periodic phone calls and actually meeting in person is a better way to develope a relationship. I feel that the use of technology to develop a relationship is a poor substitute. I do realize the irony of my being utilizing an online dating site and actually typing these words into a box. :)
I love the gym, Pilates, yoga, hiking. I would really love a partner that would be able to push me physically in order to make my fitness goals a reality. I would love a man to work out with. I currently work out at an all ladies gym though so I would have to make some changes. :) I enjoy being active but i am not into activities that involve danger, endorphin rushes and heights. Yes to hiking, no to rock climbing. recently took up two new hobbies....wine and kissing. It's amazing how the two hobbies blend seamlessly. I've picked great hobbies. I am a voracious reader. I tend to gravitate towards self help books, spiritual texts, business and finance books and I read alot of fiction (various genres).
I am blessed to have a career that i love and i make a living doing something i am passionate about. I am a single mom and really love that aspect of my life as well. I am not into the club scene. I used to party but my "rockstar" days are behind me....I think. I am fine with lounges but a man that hits the club regularly would not be an ideal partner for me. ;) A glass (or bottle) of wine over dinner is more my style. Fits in with my new hobby.
I love all music and the soundtrack for my life would be very eclectic (funk, soul, r &b, dub reggae hip hop, electronic....not much country at all but a little rock and roll).
