Date women from Canada / British Columbia / North Vancouver, 38 year old

Date someone special from North Vancouver, Canada. **I'm away until the end of July**
I'm easy going, enjoy life and appreciate the simple things. I prefer open windows to air-con, and am usually up for nearly anything. Friends and family are important to me, and hopefully you too. I try not to sweat the small stuff and love a great laugh out loud! I'm looking for someone to experience life with.
My lifestyle is active, but not intense. I love a good workout, but also enjoy relaxing on the couch or a patio. The odd monkey bar swing... mtn biking, kayaking. I 'm not an expert, but I have a lot of fun. I love getting to amazing places in our province and beyond...travelling is one of my favourite things. Whether it is away for the weekend locally, an extended road trip or leaving the continent. All that said, I also love my downtime, and living in BC.
I enjoy working as an elementary teacher, but leave it at the door when I head home. I'm independent, curious and usually learning something new. I was (still am...?) the little girl always asking "why", "how". I'm honest to a fault which can get me in trouble. I am inherently trusting and sometimes wear my heart on my sleeve.
No big list of requirements, but I need someone genuine and confident who knows what they want and goes for it. Just as comfortable enjoying the outdoors as getting comfy on the couch. I enjoy chivalry, to me it shows character. I am not into the meat market atmosphere of bars, much prefer a pub with friends. I drive a 4x4 truck so I guess you'd have to be ok with that...lol!
I'd love to hear from you if you're interested (just clicking "interested" or adding me to your favourites doesn't entice me to respond). I'm looking for someone local to the general Lower Mainland and around my age (younger or a little older - but not old enough to be my father please!). I am not looking for long distance, (that includes WA state) and sorry - I won't respond to someone who hasn't posted a picture.
K
P.S. I like to meet up in real life, so if we email a bit I will want to. Please move on if you are just looking or wanting casual fun. Based on past experiences, if you are separated, I need to know the status of your divorce plans.

Meet a soulmate from North Vancouver, Canada. I am not the best at describing myself but I will give it a try. Here it goes...
I love nature and animals more than anything else. Maybe it had something to do with the peace that I find there. When outdoors, I am open to most activities, but prefer wildlife photography, roller blading, kayaking, horseback riding and fishing, to name a few.
When indoors, I love to write, read and watch scientific documentaries (e.g. BBC narrated by David Attenborough), as well as paint. Eating healthy and training at the gym are a big part of my life indoors. I can made a mean healthy smoothie! I also love to go to restaurants but I much prefer fine dining to fast food.
Once a week or so I like to relax and watch a good movie. Favourites for me are usually action or science fiction (e.g. Aliens, Star Wars, X-men, Avengers). I used to love romantic movies, but so few of them are even worth watching nowadays. I also love a good comedy but they seem hard to find. Comedy is one of those funny things. People can usually be divided into groups based on what they find funny and what they don't. I know for my part that I find the following TV shows/movies hilarious:
1) Robot Chicken: Star Wars
2) Ace Ventura 2
3) Animals doing quirky things
4) Neil Patrick Harris hosting the Tony awards
5) Jim Carrey in the "what is love" skit on Saturday Night Live
6) Le diner de con (best French comedy ever made)
Maybe it will resonate with you. It would be nice to laugh at some of the same things. Or else we might never get each other's humour :P
Apart from that I love intellectual conversations and I am not a fan of Facebook, Twitter or Microsoft; I prefer Linux.
I think that is about all I think can of right now. More to come if we meet.

Overall, I am looking to make some friends and hopefully, potentially find a long term relationship. I am not interested in "friends with benefits", drugs or drinking parties :)
Have a nice day!

Date a woman from North Vancouver, Canada. Under my tender skin I have a strong but also sweet heart. I was successful with my career but now found it also necessary for me to slow down and give myself more time and space to enjoy life. Love outdoors, home improvement, gardening and fashion. Looking for someone who I can connect with and have fun together.

Meet someone special from British Columbia, Canada. I love to laugh, I love intelligence and wit, I don't like to judge, I'm pretty easy-going and open-minded (I try), and I really need a lot of creativity in my life. Oh, and I love to travel when I have the opportunity! My life is in transition right now, but I am embracing that (personal evolution). At this point I'm only curious, and need to explore my options (and maybe play a little too)...

Date a soulmate from British Columbia, Canada. I am looking for someone who has similar interests as me, but will also b their own person. I would like to b with someone who is real and expresses themselves freely. I really enjoy the outdoors, but I can also enjoy spending a relaxing evening watching a good movie.

Meet a woman from British Columbia, Canada. I am back on the dating scene after being out of it for a couple of years. I am looking to meet someone with little baggage, let's be honest, we all have a little, a great sense of humour, who loves taking in all this city has to offer.

Date someone special from Canada. I enjoy life, good and bad sides that are part of it, and I don't want to do it alone anymore. I am straight forward, honest and unfortunately shy. I cannot take lies. But I am adventurous - so let's see about this.

Meet a soulmate from Canada. I'm interested in how this process works, and more interested in meeting people in person - I'm not sure how well I'm represented on-line, or how skilled I am at finding 'the right' profile, but I'm open to getting to know people, and getting together for a coffee or a drink.
My friends would describe me as a good person - I like to jump in and help out, I love spending time with friends and families - mine and everyone else's. I have a pretty dry sense of humour... I like being around people who can make me laugh.
I'm more interested in dinners and small groups than big parties or late night clubs. I like live music in smaller venues - no big bands at Rogers Arena; The Commodore or the Orpheum are more my speed. I like dinner and movies... though I'm a bit selective about which movie, and what restaurant to try next. I love the options in this city to eat organically and locally - from food trucks and diners to the other extreme ... I'm not fanatical, just trying to be informed and make good choices.
I love living in Vancouver. I've been here for eight years and enjoy the seasons, the mountains and the ocean... even the rain, but I do miss a big, blue Alberta sky every now and then. I have a little dog, so I'm outside alot, though she hates the rain so our winter walks tend to be short, unless we're under the cover of the trees.
I have wonderful friends that I am grateful for, and who mean the world to me. I'm very close to my family, and though they don't live very close, I see them as often as I can.
I'm looking for someone to laugh and sing and dance in the kitchen with. I want to share my life with someone, learn new things from him, and see new places together. I have a great life, and want to share in someone else's great life. I'm looking for a partner, someone to have fun with, to share books and desserts and secrets with.
I'm committed to finding perfect moments. I'm excited for this part of the journey.
