Date men from Canada / British Columbia / Port Coquitlam, 24 year old

Date a guy from Canada. So, I'll give this a shot, but should preface by saying I'm not someone to get into too much detail when writing about myself. It's the face to face that will ultimately reveal how you interact with and feel about someone, but I guess this is just to give you a sense of whether or not you'd be interested in chatting and then maybe meeting/dating.
I'm 24 and finished undergrad last year with a B.A. in English. I had taken two years off to work and it looks like I'm doing the same now before finding and starting a grad program.
People would usually describe me as a very calm and mature guy, especially for my age, whether it is now or 10 years ago. I'm tireless and like to find new and fascinating stuff to do, but I'm not a party animal. I'm happier with good conversation, new experiences, books and movies to share and talk about, and really want to meet a like soul to be dating.
I've started the edating stuff very, very recently. Mostly because I'm started to travel more and will likely relocate somewhere down the line after having lived my first 24 years in the Bay Area, sans a few trips here and there. So it seems like a good way to get into the flow of things in a new place.
While I read and write a lot, these are things I do in my own idle time. I don't think I've ever passed on a chance to get outside with the possibility of adventure to be cooped up and reading/writing. I just don't watch TV, so it's what I do instead I guess. Reading and writing all the time often just means sun bathing with the kindle or a paperback, anyways. Preferably.
I work close to full time as a writer/editor and it's very flexible work so I'm interpreting the opportunity as a chance to travel. I know I'm headed back to school so I'm simply just trying to see some new places while getting my hours in and maybe getting some publications out.
I'm not a solitary person and I'm happier in a relationship, but I also want grander things out of life so to me dating is all about the experiment -- do you really click and feel as good as you know you ought to, or are there too many impasses for it to be long term? Either way, and for all of the causes I have strong feelings for, life should be pleasurable and your relationship should be at the very top of what motivates you.
