For work I do a number of things, but what I spend the majority of my working time on is a company that I launched about 6 months ago. I have worked for corporations before and it really wasn't for me. I don't like having to work a strict 9-5 job, and having to answer to people all day. So, when I had opportunity to quit my corporate job I jumped at the opportunity and worked to create something of my own.
When I'm not working I like to stay as active as possible. I play several sports, and try to always make time for the gym and some hikes. I've already done grouse and peak 1 of the chief this year. I want to do peak 2 and 3 of the Chief as well. Oh, and I did Tough Mudder. Best thing ever.
I'm looking for someone who likes to stay active, isn't afraid to try new things, and always looks to find the positives in things. If you have a dog, even better. If you snowboard, even BETTER. If you can and do sing, best.

A few random things about me: my dog is awesome, the Canucks are the greatest hockey team in the world, I love tea, I will do (almost) anything for a good back massage, I am passionate about music and going to see my favourite bands play is one of my favourite things to do, I'm sarcastic and joking 90% of the time (or am I joking about this fact? Hmmmm...!) I don't get jealous because I feel like it's a waste of energy, I love a good cuddle, and my car is named Ruby II (yes, my car has a name).

I started running about a year ago and recently did the Sun Run for the first time. Now I have a time to beat for next year.I like being competetive with myself and running is a great avenue for that. This summer I want to do some trail running and hiking. I don't take advantage of our beautiful city enough and I want to change that.
I like going out and staying in. Being loud and staying quiet. Life is about balance.

I consider myself to be a pretty easy-going person, but when something matters to me, I'm very passionate about it. I love my job, even on the days when I want to pull my hair out, and am always thinking of ways to make things more fun and engaging for my students and myself.
