I spend the majority of my life being friendly, nice to a fault, and laid-back, with a bit of an unusual sense of humour. There are normally only two instances I show my overtly passionate side, sports and progressive politics.
Rugby is a huge part of my life. I play competitively, ref, and coach high school. It has provided me with many opportunities including several trips, most recently coaching a high school tour to the UK. I also play hockey and softball recreationally, and am usually up for pretty much any other sport. I'll take any excuse to get outside, be it to throw a ball around in a park, go for a hike, or try something new.
I try and give what other time I have to pursuing progressive political change. Coming off working on two successful by-elections this spring I'm excited about the new friends I've made, the amazing people I got to meet, and opportunities for the future.

I love being outdoors. On a nice sunny day you can find me hiking, biking, swimming, camping, going on random road trips, sitting in a nice comfy chair having some drinks with freinds, or even jumping off bridges and out of planes. I'm a fan of sitting in and watching a good movie, but if the weather is nice, I'd rather be outside. In the winter you'll fine me either snowboarding down the mountains or trying to convince my freinds that we are in fact NOT too old to make a snowman.

I am very passionate about my family. They are very close to me, and that is something I know I will carry on into my life one day. I love being around kids and teaching them everyday life skills, such as respect and confidence they should have as young kids and how important family should mean to them. Thank God for Skype, being from back East it's such a great way to communicate and see family online, especially my little niece who is TWO and wants to Skype her uncle everyday!
To finish off, being active and sports have been apart of my life since I was 3 years old. I was a varsity athlete in University, and hoped to had played at the next level until a few major injuries happened , so now instead of competing at a high level, in the summer time, I run camps for kids and teach them how to use their body mechanics and introduce the importance of fitness and health at an early stage. One of the things I do for fun during my spare time in the summer!
Looking to build new relationships and enjoy this wonderful city, I still have so much to see and do and I think this is a great way to meet new people and enjoy the city together.
