Date women from Canada / British Columbia / Port Moody, 48 year old

Date someone special from Port Moody, Canada. I love words.... like succulent and succinct and saffron. As a kid I used to read the dictionary (at my dad's urging, when I'd say things like "I'm bored" or "I have nothing to do"). Words are magic.
I work to live, not live to work. My spare time is spent on refilling the well and creating in some way. I love down time. But I also love to go work out at the gym, sample delicious foods and wines, go for a walk or fondle fruit and vegetables at a food stand (before buying them, of course).
One of my favorite authors has a most delightful video on YouTube about his wishes for the coming year (see it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hG3yCmJphnE&fea
ture=youtube_gdata_player). I couldn't agree more.
Kindess. Generosity (both material and immaterial). Openness of spirit and mind. Each day things happen that we have no control over; we can only control how we react to what is happening to us, and that in the end defines us and also leads us to or away from people.
I would love to share my love of words with someone, and perhaps of line and space as well. When I lived in the L.A. area I would go on sketch crawls with a group of artists and those were the bomb... Olvera Street, Chinatown, Union Station, the zoo.
I've done many things but still wish for a shared adventure with someone with similar sensibilities... perhaps we will meet here - who knows?

Date a woman from Port Moody, Canada. I'm just a girl without a guy, others think I'm cute, some say I'm hot (after they've had a few drinks) - haha. Never did this before, feel silly wanna say funny stuff but afraid of getting kicked off this site, guess I want to start off on the right foot cos I stepped on the left one. Never did high jump or shot put but I always loved boys 100 metre and boys basketball and football and believe it or not even golf (and bowling).

Meet someone special from British Columbia, Canada. Wow, feels like University all over again - 'you must write between 100 and 2,000 characters' - OK, how many is that? :-)
This is not something I would normally do and if you can say the same you're probably someone I'd like to talk to.
I'm a divorced single parent (of one) and quite happy with my life.
I guess I'm somewhere in between "looking for my soulmate" and "just friends". I think it would be great to have someone to share things with but I'm not looking for marriage either (though I'd never say never if the right person came into my life).
I find that at this stage in life most of my current friends are married (3rd wheel dating) or single without children (can't understand why I can't go out on a minute's notice). I have so much going on in my own life that someone who is too needy would find himself sadly neglected but someone who has a similar lifestyle (career parent) could probably appreciate someone who is flexible about time spent together.
I enjoy travel, fine dining, theatre, movies, auto racing, humour, throwing dinner parties and a great book.
