I consider myself to be an average lower mainlander, I live a lifestyle thats balanced...including eating healthy but also enjoying the occasional indulgence (chocolate's my favourite). I enjoy digging in my garden and keeping my home in tip-top shape so I guess you could call me a handyman with a green thumb. I keep active, including bicycling (trail or road), working out at the gym, racquet sports, going for long walks and day hikes around the lower mainland (I have some favourites), I've also been fortunate to have travelled to other countries and continents and theres still so much more to see. I have played guitar and been involved in music most of my life and have been self-employed in the woodworking field for many years also. I love adventure that is a little outside the box, i.e cycling and camping my way up and down the Pacific Coast. I am very much at home in peaceful places such as the Gulf Islands but also love being around people and building new friendships. Have spent lots of hours on golf courses however I have has to take a little break from it over the past couple of years due to work but can definitely see that happening again, it would be great to have some to share that with. My friends say that I am fairly easy going and that I have a good sense of humor, I do tend to see the humorous side of things. A good day for me would be hanging out in Vancouver and could include, Granville Island for dinner (and just to kill some time), a movie, a play, a musical event at a smaller venue, a hockey game ect..... I'm fairly open. I also really enjoy taking the ferry across to Gibson's on a Saturday morning spending the day exploring the Sunshine Coast.
I am into living a healthy life style, good food and exersize always seems to make the world a nicer place so I try to stay top it although I am not always perfect. I have gone on a few major cycling trips that involve camping, i.e. I have cycled the Oregon Coast twice plus other places and have trip to China planned for May 2013, it is something that I fell in love with a few years ago and hope to continue on doing, I don't expect everyone one else to see the joy riding a bike across great distances but perhaps someone will, if not that"s Ok and it's just my thing.
