Who am I?
I have an excellent career. I work hard and I enjoy what I do. I am fit and continually working to improve my health and fitness. I love to go hiking! I prefer Mt Seymour to The Grind though I have done The Grind (1:21). Climbing Mt. Cheam in Chilliwack last fall was definitely a challenge and one that I met head on. Second Peak at The Chief in Squamish was my climb this year on Labour Day weekend. It was tough, but I made it! The view from up there was spectacular. You can see part of it in one of the photos in my profile (the one with all the water in the background - that would be Howe Sound).
UPDATE:
Sun Run 2011 - I completed the run successfully and in the top half of my age group AND have been invited to be a leader in the Sun Run Clinic next year, starting in January!! Not too bad for a novice runner! What I lack in experience I make up for in enthusiasm and my ability to encourage others.
Scotiabank Vancouver Half Marathon - under 3 hours...barely. Not bad considering I was still recovering from a case of pneumonia that I came down with at the end of my trip to Europe! Next year... under 2:30
I enjoy mountain hikes, running on the beach and through trails and the gorgeous seawall, scuba diving, yoga... it's all good!
I don't carry around a bunch of baggage. Life is just too short for that.
Whether it's throwing a dinner party for my friends, a night at the pub or a trip to a place I have yet to explore, I love it all! I like to curl up at home and watch a movie or a hockey game. I also love to get dressed up and head out for a night of dinner and dancing...or a lovely evening at home, complete with dinner and dancing... Who says you can't have both?!
