Date a woman from British Columbia, Canada. Ok here goes I'm adventurous and like to travel almost nowhere is off limits, but with age comes a desire for a certain amount of comfort.I run my own business and have done so for over 20 years,so I'm still very much in the work world. I have cats love dogs as well and understand the joy of them despite all that fur I need to vacuum up. I love real Christmas trees and am always amazed at where those needles can go and it makes me smile when I find them throughout the year. I respect honesty and loyalty and the idea that we will be going for the same goals in life we may not always agree on things but that is not necessarily a bad thing and often it is what helps me grow and look at things from another perspective. I work with children and although I have none of my own enjoy their company and would be happy to be a grandparent at some time. I looking for someone to respect, cherish, love and to try new and old things together. Someone who is excited to see me daily and will miss me when I'm not there.I want my man to want to introduce me to all his friends and hope they will like me and include me easily into their gatherings. I love British comedy theatre movies books riding my bike walks yoga My friends say I need to open myself to the possibilities and that to do so some effort is required

Meet a soulmate from Vancouver, Canada. The French are glad to die for love,
They delight in fighting duels,
But I prefer a man who lives and gives expensive jewels.
A kiss on the hand may be quite continental,
But diamonds are a girls best friend.
A kiss may be grand but it,
Won't pay the rental on your humble flat,
Or help you at the automat.
Men grow cold as girls grow old,
But we all lose are charms in the end,
But square cut or pair shape these rocks don't lose their shape,
Diamonds are a girls best friend.

Date someone special from Vancouver, Canada. I would like to contribute even a tiny bit to bringing about a peaceful and egalitarian world.
I am very interested in artistic expressions of all sorts, particularly in documentary films.
I work with languages, and feel truly fulfilled by that.
I hope to find a man whose world view and interests somewhat overlap with mine.
If you enjoy being with a woman who honestly expresses her thoughts and feelings, please contact me.

Meet a woman from Vancouver, Canada. Whew - the pressure...honestly, I am a woman who works hard, cares deeply about her family and friends (and lets not forget about my two furry roomates) and loves to travel and explore this world and its diverse people. The man who will attract my attention will have strong family values, an adventurous, caring and empathetic nature and will promise to put the lid down...oh, and a sense of humour - he must be able to laugh at himself and not take himself too seriously...and if he also knows how to cook, I would be absolutely thrilled...hmm....now we are on a roll....if he knows how to golf, that would be terrific, because I would really really like to take golf lessons again (I already have the golf clubs, thank you!)....and if he knows how to play tennis, that would also be great, because then I can dust off my tennis racquet...did I mention that I love downhill skiing, so if he skiis that would also be marvelous...oh dear...better stop now...
More later...
July 3, 2012 - I have just cancelled my membership. My last day on here is July 6, 2012. The primary reason that I have cancelled my membership is that the match system sends me umpteen daily matches who are not even remotely close to what I am looking for and, honestly, I have neither the time nor the interest to drag through the daily matches every day hoping that there will be someone there for me.... Good luck everyone.

Date a soulmate from Canada. I am new to this so I am a bit shy and apprehensive. Here's a little about me though. I have raised sons, all were involved in a high level of sports so my life was very busy with them. Team Mom, travelling, etc. Loved every minute of it! Road trips! Woohoo! Naturally, I really like sports myself. I play tennis regularly, cycle the seawall, take my dog on hikes ( Big dog so she needs lots of exercise!)
I've been a flight attendant in my younger days and have worked in finance for a long time. I am currently part owner of a business.
I mostly do volunteer work now. I am a healthy person and like to keep active. I don't need to be on the fly all the time though. I really like being in the kitchen with a partner or friends, cooking, drinking wine or ?, and laughing. I know I have a wicked sense of humour but at the same time I am quite sensitive. There ya go for now!
All the best in your own journey....
Ps. To those people who post a 25 year old picture ......SMARTEN UP! Lots of us were pretty hot
25 years ago too! This is 2012!

I value deep friendship and I don't take for granted the fact that I've been very lucky in life.

Outdoor festivals, stargazing, sunsets in the Gulf Islands, hiking, kayaking, tennis, arts, literature, most importantly .....connecting.

.
I am looking for someone who is already house trained, has a great sense of humour, has a kind heart, who lives life with integrity and honesty, is financially stable and is open to whatever life presents.
I love to laugh, sing, write, travel, yoga (working toward 500 hour certification), dance (salsa, blues and R&B grooves...the real R&B, you know, Aretha, Marvin Gaye, etc, not what they now call R&B...), learning French and Spanish, gatherings with family and friends, movies, good food. I always love to learn, even if it is sometimes painful!
I have a wonderful daughter who is one my greatest gifts and teachers.

. …so I said to myself, “If you aren’t afraid to take windsurfing lessons, go horseback riding in Turkish and sing karaoke in front of a bar full of strangers, how scary can it be to post a profile on a dating site?” Well, actually, it’s pretty scary – but singing karaoke is way scarier, so here I am. Carpe Diem and all that.
Now, how shall I introduce myself? I’ve always felt strange about stringing together a bunch of adjectives that supposedly describe me. After all, beauty’s in the eye of the beholder – as are wit, charm, and pretty much any other quality you can think of. So I thought that instead, I’d tell you some random factoids about myself and let you draw your own conclusions. Here we go:
I spent most of Grade 4 in the corner for yapping out of turn. I spent 3 weeks in Turkey this summer, where I fell off the above-mentioned horse – but got back on and rode happily (if rather clumsily) off into the sunset. I sing in a choir, but so far have confined my solos to the karaoke bar. In my next life I’ll have a voice like k.d. lang. I generally stay up too late. I’ve travelled in 17 countries and lived in 4. I went back to university at 40 to study philosophy. My secret ambition is to learn to play the accordion. In Bruce Springsteen’s band. (What! He totally needs an accordionist!)
I love good food, good music, good books, good conversation…and my cat (except when she shreds my papers). I don’t love waiting in line (or on hold), texting, bureaucrats, national anthems, or Stephen Harper. I believe in fun, friendship, hospitality, curiosity and art. Also compassion - a quality I try hard to cultivate. I'm not always successful, but I always try. I like not knowing what’s next. I would rather flame out than rust out. I agree with whoever it was who said that as we grow older we should be doing more things for the first time than the last time. I would add "learning more things" to that as well.
If I had to sum up my approach to life in a nutshell, I would quote the #1 Principle of Improv: “Yes, and…”
And if I had to say what kind of person I'm looking for ... Oh, sigh. We think we know what we want - and then go ahead and fall in love with someone completely different! Chemistry is so hard to quantify, isn't it? So let's just say that if you've got a sense of humour, an inquiring mind, a listening ear, a spirit of adventure and a kind heart, you're probably someone I'd like to meet. And if you're the kind of guy who reads what I've written here and thinks, "Where has this woman been all my life?" I'd say you should probably get in touch with me now!

. Have you been to the Middle East???
Hello...My profile says Vancouver, but I spend time in Central Alberta, as well as Vancouver..
This happy, caring lady is looking for honesty and integrity in a man, because that what she offers. A soul mate would be perfect...she is truly a romantic at heart. The baggage is packed and stored.....she is an optomist with the cup always more than full.
She loves to travel and wants to meet someone who is self-sufficient, secure in himself and free to travel whether its overnight or for an extended vacation. She is at a point in her life where she can decide to work awhile longer, or do the semi-retirement thing. Education is where its at....a life-long learner, she enjoys working with people who care for and about education and the well being of others.
Family is important; the kids are on their own and she loves to spoil the grandkids. You may have children/grandchildren and that is great as it makes us responsible and sensitive to all.
However, she is tired of the cold Canadian winters and needs to get away from the harsh winters...surprise, an opportunity arose and she seized the moment for a short contract overseas...It has been a rich and wonderful experience....and the weather is fantastic (air conditioners and all!)
Fun is a day trip to a neighboring town, or a walk in the park, or a good movie, This lady loves to camp (no tents please), unless on a trail ride. She was raised in the Calgary area, is familiar with and loves the west coast, the mountains, Banff and Canmore...and Brockville's St. Lawrence River. Water seems to be the draw now...she loves to walk on the beach in sunrise or sunset. She has visited the Dead Sea, Oman's beautiful beaches and the Red Sea. She had an opportunity to spend a perfect day in the desert recently doing wheelies in the sand dunes, admiring the camels. Phenominal!
Coffee is great..I was recently introduced to French coffee...divine! Arabic coffee is okay...but Latte is the best!

. I am a bright, active woman with a great sense of humour, a loving family and a positive outlook for the future. I am looking for someone to be a good companion in that future.
Beside my passion about my family (children, siblings, parents, dog) I have always been very passionate about the rights and abilities of women around the world. I love to play doubles tennis regularly. Science fiction novels are a love of mine as is watching/reading about the political maneuverings around the globe. My best life skills are probably 1.Finding and taking on challenging activities 2. Remaining calm yet resilient during a crisis. 3. Entertaining in my home.
I am thankful for being capable of re-inventing myself and starting another chapter to my life. In this new chapter I intend to travel to places I have already been and love, and to new, interesting locales. Having a loving companion on these travels would be welcome.

. I love life and am a happy go lucky person. My mate would be a very lucky guy when he finds me!!!
Love to travel, go to beaches, dance, dine and generally enjoy being with someone who shows me respect and admiration...Let's see...Is it you?????
