I'm an aspiring writer attending UVIC in order to become an editor for a publishing house. My major is English literature (minor is currently undecided, any ideas?), which explains my passion for reading and books. My favourite genres are fiction, teen fiction, and biography, but I'll pretty much read anything as long as I get a good recommendation! I enjoy getting outside when it's nice--hanging with friends, maybe going for a walk or exploring downtown, shopping (I'm a teensy bit of a shoe addict ;p), or hitting a pub--however, I also love curling up on the couch with a book, movie, or a new CD and having relaxing evenings. My family means a lot to me, and I wouldn't be where I am without their love and support.
I'm a very chill, down-to-earth type of person--I'm comfortable going out without a ton of make-up on, but I also enjoy getting all dressed up on occasion. My friends all say I'm a great listener, I'm very trustworthy, and a fantastic friend; I often help my friends with their problems and I take a lot of pleasure from helping people when they need it.
I know it's a cliche, but I love spending time with people who make me laugh. If you take life to seriously and can't laugh at yourself then you aren't really living. I also like guys who enjoy art (literature, music, photography, theatre, etc) and who I can talk to about important things in my life, but also stupid, random stuff. My ideal guy is understanding, loyal, and has a sense of humour and can laugh at himself. Of course, being chivalrous is always a bonus. ;)
