I should mention I met my ex on this site over 12 years ago - time changes as do people and although amicable we both agree we are destined to be happier without each other. I have eternal optomism, love laughter (commonly laugh at my own antics), stop and just take in phenomenal things (eagles, flowers, the mountains, kindness) because I've done the nose to the grindstone, type 'A' personality previous, now I'm taking the road less travelled so to speak. I have been fortunate in my life to see true poverty and am rich from the humbling experience of those, including myself, in it. I have also seen incredible riches (in MY eye at least) and appreciate what I now have. I do like nice things (girl talk for purses, shoes) but feel even better when I find reusable things at the 2nd hand store. I have had ALOT of 'stuff' and minimal 'stuff' in my home and find it doesn't really benefit me either way - I'm happy with a comfy place to sit and everything else is gravy. I am just at home camping with pine needles stuck to my head as I am star struck when I walk in a 4 star hotel and act like a tourist gawking at everything (not conspicously though - I try hard to show discretion! lol) I love to travel but also want to experience where I go - sitting on the beach and drinking something tropical is fun but I want to talk to the locals and see how they live also - if I can help I will. I am loyal to a fault, honest, giving, kind. I am also gullible, at times boisterous and also at times shy, I can sometimes get lost in my own thoughts and completely lose myself with the best of intentions of being on time (being honest!). I have 2 awesome sons, one is grown and lives on his own (age 19) and my other son is 13 and lives with me and shares time between myself and his stepdad. As a child and the second youngest of 5 siblings we spent most of our days outside no matter what the seasons. This gave me a deep appreciation for the beauty and transitional nature and other interests of the weather, physical activities, spontatious interests that coincide with it. I am a girl that can honestly and truly have great times in a Wilderness Survival Camping adventure or the peaceful relaxation of 5 star Resort Spa on the beach. You can see me dress me up in that little black dress or watch me flip flop around in my jeans! My passion is all things ocean and water related. Because I was born in Florida, I grew up sailing, hitting the beaches, snorkeling, treasure hunting (looking for great shells), and any kind of fun in the sun. Being outdoors is important to me so at night it all about star gazing and crab hunting! I will be happy to sit outside anytime of the year to watch the stars and moon rise over the ocean. In the winter or on rainy days I admit that it is great to go to the movies and eat popcorn, (I enjoy action adventure movies too)! Music is typically around me all the time and I can be happy with just about any kind...depending on the occasion of course! I enjoy wine tours (red wine lover), tubing down a river, perhaps zip lining a little or how about a great theme part for some roller coaster action (Wheeeee)! The Victoria weather has me rather disappointed these days so I would like to once again plan to use my 4-5 weeks holidays traveling to hot destinations: Florida, California, Mexico, Honduras…Bora Bora! And if a hot getaway like that is too far off then I will sometimes runaway to Tofino for the summer surf season!
