I would first describe myself by saying I'm very easy going and try not to let the little things get to me. Know what I want both professionally and personally. I'm intelligent, driven and am always trying to improve myself in some shape or form. My friends would add that I'm funny, caring and am very real and straightforward. Love my family and friends more than anything and there the reason I'm who I am today.
I take great pride in my appearance and live a very healthy lifestyle. I workout almost daily and currently am training to get back into ballet ( laugh all you want at that but it just so happens professional hockey players have this incorporated into there work out routines so it's gotta be cool now right! ) Love anything on the water so I'm trying to learn how to wake board but man it's hard my goodness!

I love to laugh, I'm a self-dubbed "Film Snob", can't live without my ipod (stacked with a life's worth of soundtracks), I'm addicted to TV on DVD (prone to the 'occasional' marathon, of anything from Buffy to Newsradio to Weeds to Clone High), I love the pristine white winters full of ice skating, tobogganing and icy toes, I love reading a good book in a hot summer thunderstorm (preferably a Stephen King, if I haven't already read it..). I love going to the Ex and Fringe festivals. I'm not very athletic, but I do love a good game of baseball (or at least hitting a few balls around or playing catch), or going to the driving range to hit a few golf balls (or divets), and I'm always up for inspiration. I love to paint and sketch, but haven't found the time of late. I do sing in my car, but I usually spare my passengers from the agony! I like to dance, but mostly around the couches in the living room (secret fantasy: spontaneous choreographed dancing in the streets.. probably to something by The Rapture). I like cats, but I am definitely a dog-person, I have the pup to prove it. I love going down to the cabin, but don't do too well on the beach, or in the sun for that matter (My Lily White Skin just can't take the heat, alas). I love to travel, and have been to various locales in Canada, US, Mexico, England and Australia. Hoping to one day go to Europe and Japan, and fit in a cruise for good measure.

I'm not really into sports and formalized excercise. I fully support anyone who's into that scene. I'm the type who will watch you play Football, but I have no desire to toss the ball around myself. I was that arty kid on the sidelines in gym. However I do try and excercise becasue I recognize it is important for health. I think sports and me were never friends becuase I am not a competitive person by nature. I'm too relaxed and laissez- faire. Arty things are my scene.
I do however try to take care of myslef, physically and mentally as best as I can.I love to walk and do activities like yoga where I can relax my mind. I try and slot in time each day to relax my mind, to keep me in a solid, stress free state.

I like to swicth things up becuase I get bored. However I have no problem being alone and self-entertaining with reading or thinking.

My education and career focus is to work towards contributing to the good work that's already being done to support our margenalized populations.
