Meet a woman from Manitou, Canada. I am known as a practical, strong and silent, step up the plate kind of friend. If someone needs help, I am there! I am an observer by nature and don't need to be in the thick of the activity.. a wall flower perhaps. I do have an absurd kind of sense of humour that seems to be characteristic to where I come from... full of sarcasm as described by others. I love to laugh and children provide the most earnest sense of joy and laughter from me. I am proud to be an Animal Health Technologist and work hard at keeping this profession a part of my life in some way. It is a labour of love not a high rolling job. I have a close circle of friends in many of the communities I have lived in. I am very passionate about a program I am currently working with that involved children and horses. It teaches kids about communication, teamwork, leadership skills and virtues like empathy, respect, tolerance, consciousness, fairness, kindness, and self control. I think a lot of adults could use some of the lessons the horses teach. I also teach riding lessons to children and I love to be on the farm around the animals. I am a nature lover, camper, fisher/hunter, gardener and always prefer to be out of town. I am looking for someone with similar values, a love of the outdoors and rural living. A man who values trust, honesty, loyalty, respect and the virtues I talked about above. Someone who has enough in common with me to keep us together but who has enough of his own interests to do his own thing or be able to spend time with the guys or let me spend time with the girls. I value family, my spirituality, my community and everything that encompasses those 3 things. Socially, I spend time at bbq's, camping, small house parties, or sporting events such as baseball, hockey, golf,.. etc. I try to spend time at the lake with family and going to local fairs to have a little fun showing horses and help some of my riding lesson students. My bucket list includes things like, see as much of Canada as I can from coast to coast, never quit educating myself, learn to paint, learn to play guitar, visit my family origins in the UK, learn to speak a sentence or sing a song in Wesh & Gaelic. Read Bronte, Austen and other well known authors. See the pyramids, the great wall of China and the Outback. I consider myself very fortunate, I have a roof over my head, food to eat, family close to me, a job, and luxuries such as my pets, a horse, a vehicle to drive and the pleasure of being an auntie to my beautiful neice who make me smile eveytime we are together.
