I'm 21 years old. I work as an educational assistant in steinbach Manitoba. I'm fairly introverted but I eventually come out of my shell. I REALLY suck at starting conversations but once I'm into one I LOVE to talk and love to listen, basically I'm easily engaged into speech.
I spent 3 years in the army, so that has definitely shaped the way that I think and act a little bit. I'm a bigger guy, mostly because of a knee injury about 9 months ago, but I'm still very fit and work out 5 times a week now, though I currently don't look it. Being fit is very important to me personally so it was prett brutal for me not to be able to run or stay active for 5 months.
I'm pretty easy going, and even though I may seem to be cold and hard sometimes it usually just means I'm thinking about something else, or someone has offended me or someone close to me recently but probably not you.

Date someone special from Steinbach, Canada. Family and friends are the most important thing to me right now. I love to spend time with my niece and nephew. I love animals, music, reading books, and spending time outdoors. Would love to find someone who shares similar interests.
I spend alot of time during the summer months going camping, and play baseball in a fun league with some friends even tho i suck at it. During the winter months i used to play in a mens curling league, but haven't been as active with that the last few years as i'd like to be.
My favorite type of books to read are fantasy novels, but i still find myself getting hooked on a good science fiction novel occasionally as well. My favorite fantasy author is Robert Jordan. The Wheel of Time series is a set of brilliantly written novels that are extremely well done and i've read the series multiple times.
I'm a bit of a workaholic right now, since i haven't found that special someone to spend my time with, but hopefully that will change soon. I work on two dairy farms milking cows, so get to spend my whole day working with animals and love it.
I like to travel, but haven't gotten to do as much of that as i'd like to. The highlight of my travelling was my trip to Greece back in 2004. I'd love to go back again someday and have a little more time to take in all the sights there. So much to see and nowhere near enough time to see it all.
I hit a couple of speedbumps along the way in life so far, and am finally getting my life back on track after a few difficulties. I wasn't focused enough on fitness and working hard to keep in shape and had let myself get way out of shape a few years ago. In the last 15 months since august 2010 i've dropped 95 lbs with some hard work and hoping to drop another 25-30 yet and get to a weight i'm happy with.
I'm a pretty easy-going, honest, and simple guy. I've been by friends that my biggest flaw is that i have a hard time saying no. I always like to help out others when they need it. I love to joke around and laugh and just have a good time when i'm out with friends. I'd like to start a family one day when the time is right and when i'm comfortable enough financially to be able to support a family while still being able to afford a night out once in awhile.
My goals for 2012 are to lose another 30 lbs, and to get lasik done if its an option for me. Been wearing glasses since i was two and a half years old, and would love to finally be rid of them.
I've only been in a couple of long-term relationships and haven't dated much the last couple of years after being hurt in my last relationship.
I'm hoping to find that special someone who shares similar interests to mine. I'm pretty happy with everything in my life right now, but having someone to share it with will only make it better.
