Maybe I'll just start off with some random thoughts...
- I love vegetarian food....usually with steak or chicken.
- The 3 live Sens games that I saw last year is exactly 3 more sporting events than I've ever watched on TV....ever!
- I've never learned to play euchre.
- Being a dad allows me to legitimately keep playing with Lego.
- I've never jumped out of a perfectly good airplane.
To elaborate...
I am a "dad". My two young children are with me 50% of the time. I love being a father. I cherish my time with them, and the activities we do together. That being said, it's very important that you either have your own children (and) or understand the importance of family.
Career wise, I'm exactly where I had worked towards. Although the work I do is in IT, the end result goes towards helping people. I very much enjoy what I do, but am by no means a workaholic.
Although my career has me in front of a computer all day, I enjoy working with my hands. I've always done my own home renos. I also used to work on my own cars, until the day a tune-up required very expensive diagnostic equipment!
In my spare time, you won't find me watching sports on TV. I'll occasionally go to a live game, but don't really follow any particular sport. Seeing the occasional live event is much more fun. Getting out and doing something is even more fun!
I do enjoy watching movies, and occasionally get caught up on a couple TV series that I like to follow.
I keep active with strength training and martial arts several times week. I also enjoy getting outside for seasonal activities such as skating on the canal in the winter and paddling/boating/sailing in the summer. I'm not a runner, but do enjoy biking. This year I HAVE to try roller blading!

My taste in music is a fairly broad spectrum of classical at one end to Neo-Medieval (Corvus Corax) on the other. However, I've never been a fan of country.
I like getting together with friends at a pub or going to see a live band. Bluesfestis always good and am looking forward to Folkfest.
What am I looking for?...
I'd like to meet someone who is easy going, has a passion for life, established in their career, a great sense of humor, is drama free, and has a relatively active lifestyle, while still being able to appreciate a healthy balance of "down time".
Ultimately, it would develop into a long term relationship, but it all has to start somewhere.

. Hello..."prologue"... Twenty years ago I would have never thought I would do something like this, yet, after a twenty-two year relationship....here I am. About me... My Family would tell you that I am a very honest, loyal, and caring person. My work colleagues will tell you that I have an excellent work ethic and an odd sense of humour ;-)... hey when we are comfortable with those around us don't we all have our own style of humour :-). Others will tell you that I have a pleasant demeanor and times can be a little quiet, oh don't get confused by that as I can be obnoxious at times with my sense of humour. I can certainly tell you that I am a loving, caring individual that wears my heart on my sleeve.
I consider myself a romantic at heart and chivalry is not dead with this guy. I have lost that romanticism in the last while, are you the person that is going to ignite that spark in me again? I am proud of the man I have become and that I am always trying to improve on that everyday.
I enjoy all kinds of sporting activities. I am passionate about Golf and Hockey. It would be great to find someone who enjoys these common interests. Going to play Tennis, Volleyball, Badminton, going for a run, going skiing are just some examples. There are some activities that I have not done in many years and if you’re interested I am game.
I have noticed that 99% of us on here love to travel. Well, yes you can add me to that list as well. I however have only been to New York, Florida, and Myrtle Beach. It is a short term goal of mine to go on an all inclusive vacation for which I have never had the pleasure of experiencing. Destinations I would like to visit are Italy, France, Portugal, Spain, and Hawaii.
I enjoy all kinds of culinary experiences whether it is fine dining, casual dining, buffet, BBQ or whatever.. and did I mention Yes I like to cook. I like to think I am a good cook; this seems to be the consensus from my family and friends anyways. Good food, Good Wine is a great way to start a great conversation.
I think health and fitness is very important and if we end up chatting or sitting down for a coffee I will tell you why.
What I am looking for....... Well if you share all the above interests that is a great start. I am looking for someone I can enjoy life with, participate in our common interests with each other, whether it be watching sports, playing sports, dining out, or just enjoying each others company. I have a very open mind (well I think so anyway) so I am always looking for new things to try.
