Date men and women from Ontario, Canada. Hmmm... What do I like? First and foremost, I love bacon, it is by far my favourite food choice and I don't care how bad it is for me. I don't eat it nearly as much as I would like, which is probably a good thing, and O yeah, I love to cook.
I love to laugh and I love to make other people laugh and by extension love sitcoms, especially the older stuff from the 80's. The ones out now are vastly superior to anything that has been on before, the writing is better and they are much funnier and I also enjoy them. Big Bang Theory is currently my favourite, even though I still love to watch the old stuff over and over.
I am a huge hockey fan and root for The Leafs as well as enjoy playing poker. I am very competitive and poker allows me to compete on an even playing field, since sports are not generally something I am very good at. However, I do enjoy going to the gym, and bike riding as exercising is a passion of mine. This is not to say I am meathead or gym rat, only that it is a great outlet for me and rounds out who I am.
Being open and honest is important to me and I associate with people who are the same with me. Even though I am mature and responsible, I can still be silly and fun; in fact I may be the biggest kid you?ve ever met! Living and balancing my life is also one of my traits, so I can be relaxed and easy going while remaining ambitious and hardworking.
There are two very important things you need to know if you're going to be in a relationship with me. First, I am helping raise my younger sister, who is eleven, because her mother left and my father is getting older and has medical problems. It has been wonderful to be a part of her life and you need to know, she means the world to me!
The second important thing to know is that I am vision impaired. This does not mean that I am totally blind; in fact I can read most print. I have enough vision to ride a bike, use a computer, play pool, go to the gym, hold a job, manage a household and do all the cooking, did I mention, love to cook? The biggest disadvantage about my vision is that I can't quite see well enough to drive!
I wanted to put these two issues in the open upfront because I want to be honest and anyone who I would be interested in would see past these things into what really matters. I am comfortable with who I am so please feel free to bring up either of these topics if you have any questions.

I enjoy dancing, snowboarding, mountain biking, swimming, travelling, and watching foreign movies.
I am currently a high school teacher, and I try and make the most of my time off so my ideal partner must be willing to try new things and travel, as life is too short to waste. Knowledge, honesty, loyalty, friends and family are important to me. I'm fortunate enough to have friends in many places. I would love to find a person who is easy-going, comfortable in new situations, adaptable, happy, intelligent, athletic, with a good sense of humour. Also, you have to be open to the foods my mom is going to insist you try. If you're a foodie, that's great. If you're picky, we might have a problem. You may also want to start drinking vodka - my dad is hard man to say "no" to (just a friendly warning, since family gatherings usually lead to vodka shots - OK, I've revealed too much).
I love to travel and experience new things - my passport is always valid so I can pack and leave on an adventure at a moment's notice. I worked in England for two years so I had the opportunity to travel in Europe and Africa. I have been all over Europe, once living on a beach in Greece, sailed on the Nile in Egypt, hiked in Hawaii, amongst other things. There's a lot of places I still haven't been - top of my to do list are Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa. I am just as comfortable camping as I am enjoying the luxuries of a five star hotel.

Me 101: I am often a caricature of myself -- humourous, witty and often silly, the contradiction that is me is that I am also an educated, focused, straight shooting professional. I need to be engaged at all times, which I think is a symptom of my undiagnosed ADHD. That said, I am quite comfortable with silence and enjoy doing a whole lot of nothing at times. A hoarder and purger (of things not food), sentimental realist, a calculated risk-taker, messy organizer, obsessive compulsive planner with spontaneous tendencies and a joiner and a quitter. I would also throw--- dynamic, thoughtful, creative, independent and terribly social into the descriptive pot. I laugh all of the time!
I cannot do without: family and friends, working, my American Express card, a TRX, wine and laughter.
I am really good at: fitting into new situations, making other people feel comfortable, forgetting people's names (and still making them feel comfortable), following directions (the map kind, not the people kind), overdressing, telling stories, and not drinking enough water.
I am really bad at: acknowledging my limits, remembering people's names, math, cooking.

I am usually overdressed, I think on my feet, my feet are usually in high heels, I play a mean game of Scrabble and am technically savvy although pathetically dependent on my iPhone.I have zero party tricks which has always made me feel inadequate, can't sing but do try and I really cannot cook, but I am learning to appreciate food. I'm into 'firsts' for 2012. This list includes Internet dating and snowboarding--I'm 1 for 2 thus far.
