I tend to be quiet when meeting new people and in a new situation, people tend to think it is shyness but I step back and absorb the situations and surroundings just due to my analytic nature. I was recently described as "Reserved at first with an outgoing personality once going. And an empathic listener with a keen sense of reading peoples emotions and adjusting his personality/mood to suit the situation". A verbose way of saying I can be quiet or outspoken depending on the situation and the people around me LOL. As many of my friends and colleagues can attest to I like to be goofy, joke around and every once and a while have some fun with a prank. I have a sarcastic and quick humor, which has not always been a good thing sometimes; but hey, thats just me. My Friends say I have an endless ammount of patience and I am always level headed and calm when making decisions. I love my career and employer; I work in a professional office environment and always enjoy going to work for the people, the environment and the workplace challenges.
When I do something new I am very focused in learning everything and becoming good at it. I believe if you dont put forth an effort you dont get the same satisfaction or results out of doing. I like challenges and I take them head on. I have a love of different foods; from the italian dishes I grew up with to Indian, Japanese, Ethiopian etc.
I haven't yet had the opportunity to travel and experience all the things I want to do. I would like to be able to share those experiences with someone. I would like to travel overseas, maybe see where my great grandparents lived and grew up in Italy.
I have a couple of hobbies I try and get to when I can, I am also in a local pool league, sometimes I go out to local sports bar with some friends just to watch a game and have a few drinks. I like to read, cook, go camping, golf, swim play games/sports. Every fall I really get into NFL football and I am hoping to go watch my team at a home game this year. I have started running again, I used to run a lot (5k runs) before I started my career in IT, and I have started again, painfully slow but getting back in shape is important to me.
Years ago 3 friends and I decided on a Wednesday we wanted to go move somewhere and by Sunday we were driving to Calgary and we ended up living there for 10 months. Was a great experience and a fun time with lots of stories.
My ideal match is someone who can change gears. You can both sit back and relax with some popcorn and watch a movie or TV show; but you also like to go out and play sports, have a night out and sometimes just go somewhere at random. Trust, honesty, support, encouragement and communication are some of the fundamentals needed in the foundation of a strong relationship. The kissy kissy mushy parts are good, but without the strong foundation that stuff doesn't matter.
