Why am I here? Like you I want to meet someone to bring into my life. Ultimately I want to get married, but obviously that will happen in due time. I'm not looking to rush into anything, nor am I interested in serial dating.
A few years ago I made a career change, and I love what I do (ok, not every day, but you get the idea..lol). In the past year I made some more changes that basically cut back on many things i was involved in. Life is too short not to enjoy it along the way.
About me - I am intelligent and have multiple degrees, yet I can be absent minded; I can be handy around the house, but a klutz too (you would not believe how I have injured myself!), I keep active by running cycling, and recently took up hot yoga for the winter; I look several years younger than my age, most people think I am a decade younger - it sucked in my 20's, but it's great now; I am an avid reader usually with a couple of books on the go; I rediscovered my golf game last year, although like many things it isn't what it used to be..lol. I am not a city person, Toronto is a nice place to visit once in awhile, but that's about it; I get along with most people but am selective about who I consider to be my closest friends; I am fiercely loyal and will do just about anything for those close to me. I have been told I come across as reserved and sometimes aloof, which surprised me. That is not me at all. I prefer a pub to a "bar" or "club". I have no time for b.s. in my personal or business life, and enjoy being with honest down to earth people.
The woman I am looking for is someone who is optimistic, intelligent, and lives a (mostly) healthy lifestyle. She is close to her friends and is family oriented. She is someone who will stimulate me and challenge me, as she has a sharp mind and keen wit. She has a smile that lights up a room and a twinkle in her eye. She may have children, or may even want (another) one. The woman in my life will be able to make her own decisions and be independent, yet she wants to be part of a couple where do things together and talk about everything.
What about chemistry? That illusive quality we all want. Chemistry is a must of course, but you understand the difference between initial attraction and real chemistry. One is an initial spark, while the other starts as a burning ember that gets stronger every day.
