I will start by saying my membership expires June 20th so if I haven't deleted my profile and you're reading it after that date...my apologies. If it's before June 20th...great. My experience on here is not what I expected, so I'm not renewing. Here's a snapshot of who I am. My friends so kindly describe me as dependable, confident, spontaneous, successful, strong, generous, independent, articulate, intelligent, well-read and positive. I love the outdoors any time of the year, enjoying swimming, walking, hiking, cycling, inline skating (new this year!), sailing, canoeing, kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding downhill skiing. My camping days, snowmobiling and ATV-ing are long past! (just being honest). I am equally as comfortable in a casual atmosphere (cottage, Caribbean resort) as I am in corporate settings. I like to walk through city streets or quaint, downtown villages. Music is always on in my house ranges between jazz, 70's, 80's or 90's, rock, pop, new country or new age. I read both fiction and non-fiction. I love live sporting events, live theatre and concerts.
I don't work out regularly but have stayed fairly slim through a combination of my healthy eating and busy schedule. I have enjoyed performing on stage in community theatre productions. I don't watch much TV or movies, but when I do I'm selective about what I watch. A good match for me is someone who is confident and satisfied with their career and their life (other than not having a partner to enjoy spending time with). You should be a motivated person, who continues to be curious about the world and is willing to challenge yourself to learn new skills, knowledge or sports. Good communication is important to me. I like to think I do this fairly well, but I'm sure there's room for improvement. If you are a good listener, but can also articulate your thoughts, opinions and feelings, we'd probably have some great conversations! I love to relax with family and friends, around a bbq in the summer or cooking up a storm in the kitchen with a nice glass of wine! I love to host large dinners with friends when our schedules align!
My two children, along with my family and friends are very important to me. I value the time I spend with them, but as they get older, I have a bit more flexibility. Meeting someone who shares some common goals, values and interests would be a welcome new stage in my life. I am career oriented, have enjoyed volunteering and like to cook as well as enjoy dinner in a nice restaurant. Our interests don't all have to match up (no pun intended!) but having some in common would be nice.
I am independent by nature, but open to having the balance that a relationship offers. I am affectionate, honest and considerate and expect the same from a partner.
