I am a Father to one fantastic 19 year old son who has gone off to college. Actually, he has moved back to go to college so it is great to have him closer.
I love life and try to make the most of every moment. I am Honest, Witty, intelligent, Romantic and Faithful. I know the importance of open and honest communications for a healthy and mutually respectful relationship.
I am not into the bar scene. I love to read, listen to music, dancing in the kitchen while washing the dishes or cooking. I like hiking but am not so much into rough camping. I've been there, done that with work and it looses a lot of its appeal, lol
I don't follow sports except Formula 1 Races but I prefer to tape them so I can watch them when I have the time so I don't ever have to worry about planning my life around any TV schedule.
Other than that I have not watched much TV but when I found out that I was going to Kandahar I decided to take shows with me to make it seem less alien over there. So I have watched and enjoyed, House, Eureka, Spooks, Big Bang Theory and HBO series Game of Thrones, Spartacus, and Rome.
I am still catching up with Big Bang theory (I saved it till the end since I thought that I'd like it) and I am loving it. This is one show that I plan on watching, I love the humour and I guess I am geeky enough to get most of the references, lol
I am at the point in my life where I am deciding what to do and how I want to live when I leave my job and "get a real life"
My career has brought many rewards, search and rescue has brought some of the most rewarding moments I can imaging however I have given up much as well. It has only been the past 4 years where I have had a "day" job and have not been on call, living with a pager at night and weekends and it is really nice to know that I can plan on doing something tomorrow and know that I will actually still be here to do it, lol.

I like intelligence ... and this doesn't mean you have to be university educated. Common sense, curiosity about life and a quick wit is what I am most attracted to. I don't need a rich man in my life, but I really would like someone who is stable/comfortable and has plans for the future.
