Date men from Canada / Ontario / Bowmanville, 54 year old

Date single man from Canada. About me: I'm laid back with a healthy sense of humor (and a slight note of sarcasm). Was raised with a strong work ethic and good morals. I am loyal, faithful, considerate, kind, compassionate with a little more empathy than I need. However, as someone reminded me a number of years ago, "Believe nothing of what you hear and only half of what you see". You be the judge.
Believe it or not, I can make the transition from a rough and rugged construction site to the $1,000 a plate dinner faster than you can curl your hair. (Feel free to challenge me on that one :)... Oh, and those $1,000 a plate dinners....I've only been to two of those. Aside from fund-raising, there are far more fun things to do with that kind of money.... just making a point :)
I can carry myself well in conversation, no matter whom I'm conversing with.
Chivalry is alive and well...I'll carry the bags...you hold on to the tickets, or pick out the dress.
I take a lot of pride in my work. Each time I finish a house, I feel a sense of accomplishment.
I am grateful for my two grown children, and very proud.
Hoping to attract someone kind and compassionate.
I like helping people, but I don't like being suckered in or being taken advantage of. (please refer to "piper" below)
Holding the door open for everyone is just the right thing to do, and I smile when someone does the same for me.
I like some spontaneity. Flying to a small airport for breakfast on a weekend morning is not unheard of. However, I understand that motorbikes and small planes aren't for everyone. To each, their own. I'll bring a bagel back for you in that case.
When I travel to other countries, I'd rather rent a car than take the guided tours, but I don't take stupid risks in doing so.
You live the life you choose.
I can sit for hours in good conversation.
I wouldn't know exactly what to ask for in someone, but I'll figure it out.
I'm an early riser, so chances are, your coffee or tea will be waiting for you.
I will not play second fiddle to anyone,... At least let me know. I can take it.
Nothing clears the head like 240 KPH on the motorbike, but would never do that with a passenger :).
I don't buy flowers because I have to, I buy them because I like to, sometimes even on a Wednesday or whatever.
I have been known to jump in a vehicle on a Friday afternoon and drive to the east coast..some company makes it more fun.
I still build a snowman some winter days, that's not just for kids.
I have never made the first move in starting a relationship, but I may have to this time :)
Eventually, the piper will be paid. I know this, because I sat at the bargaining table with him a number of years ago. Having said that, he is somewhat flexible, and will accept anything from cold hard cash to a slice of your pride.
Honestly, I'm a simple guy. I can roll with it.
