I feel incredibly blessed to be the proud mother of two great children, the youngest just finishing university and the eldest getting married this summer. They are my greatest supporters and keep me grounded. I have a close circle of friends who have stuck with me through the ups and downs of life's journey and continue to seek out my company regardless! I immensely enjoy my work and am lucky to have a career in the social services sector. This brings me a lot of satisfaction as I am directly involved in improving the quality of life of others. I work in a professional capacity which sometimes periodically means long hours and belong to a service club which from time to time requires volunteer support and occasional attendance at large social/fundraising events. Aside from these commitments my time is my own.
I have recently begun to travel again after a few years hiatus and am learning to horseback ride, something I have always wanted to do. Personal fitness is important to me and I try to exercise on a regular basis but avoid the gym at all costs and like to be engaged in outdoor activities as much as possible. I am fortunate enough to live in a great area that has the best of both worlds with easy access to lakes, hills and forests but close enough to the city to a visit whenever I feel the need for a "city fix". Having lived in an urban environment for many years, I still enjoy the many things it offers in terms of variety and entertainment.
I should mention that I am friendly, sociable and like meeting new people, but really not interested in serial dating and am hoping to meet someone who feels much same way. Although I have tried several times in profile rewrites, it is impossible for me to define exactly what I am looking for, as everyone has unique characteristics, interests and life experiences which combine to make us the fascinating individuals we are. Generally speaking, I would hope you'd also enjoy traveling and the outdoors, exploring new things/places, have a sense of humour about life in general, be active, fairly easy going and comfortable in formal and informal settings i.e. enjoying watching the sun go down over a drink or two on a warm summer evening.
