Date men from Canada / Ontario / Collingwood, 65 year old

Date single man from Ontario, Canada. I view myself as a positive person who loves to laugh (especially at myself,,, and yes, I do have a lot of material to work with). I am fortunate to have my family close by and we are actively involved in each others lives.
My friends would describe me as intelligent, expressive, spontaneous, compassionate, healthy, adventurous, creative, trustworthy, imperfect, giving, peaceful, affectionate, fun to be with and a down home type of guy who does't always act his age. I am committed to a healthy lifestyle, but I am not dogmatic. I believe in moderation in all things. I enjoy cooking to entertain. I love to learn new things. I am handy around the house and can fix almost anything. I have an appreciation for this beautiful world we live in and I am involved locally with environmental issues. I also enjoy hiking or cycling the nearby trails which surround Collingwood.
Likes: people who make a difference, people who care about the environment. Star filled nights, beaches, exploring , mountains, music (anything but head banging), bonfires, the cry of the loon on a lake, a wolf howling deep in the forest, the smell of a baby, movies which make me cry, presents for absolutely no reason, the wind on my face, my motorcycle, wine, chocolate, the cookies my mom used to make, spending an evening at home cooking, snuggling up with a good book, and travelling to foreign destinations (just leave out the airports).
What I would appreciate in a woman: Of course I hope every date will be funny and bright and lead to good conversation. Beyond that, a woman who likes to travel and does not mind roughing it on the rare occasion. Someone who will value me, listen to me, hear me, and ultimately cherish me,. A woman who demonstrates kindness and is a good communicator. A woman who can express affection, who enjoys food and the small pleasures of life. Someone who wants to have fun and lightness in her life. A woman who cares about her appearance. I would like to be cherished and celebrated notwithstanding my bountiful quirks.
I believe we all carry a certain amount of baggage and have had experiences that affect the way we approach relationships. Misunderstandings can occur because things are said or done that resonate differently with each of us. I believe it is OK to agree to disagree as the strength of a couple lies in their individuality and how they meld this to form a couple. If you are inhibited in a relationship it will not grow and flourish. I believe mutual respect is essential for love to bloom. I think that dating should be about learning to understand each other, before getting intimately involved.
Perhaps one of the most memorable songs I have ever heard was performed by Keith Urban. The chorus line runs " and I'm going to love you, Like no-bodys loved you And I'll earn your trust making memories of us" I think my mom used to say "the proof is in the pudding" but you know what I mean.
Now it's your turn.
I would love to hear from you.
