I live in Dundas, a charming town with an artistic/environmental vibe, Victorian-era town centre, surrounded by the Niagara Escarpment, Bruce Trail and waterfalls - and an easy drive to all that T.O. has to offer, as well as quick get-aways to the Niagara wine region.
Things that I am grateful for:
1. The opportunities for education, personal growth, travel and financial security throughout my Life.
2. The warm relationship with my parents throughout my Life with them.
3. The years when I lived/worked/studied/lived!!! in California and beautiful British Columbia.
4. The people I met throughout my career and education - they've acted as mentors and remain good friends.

2. Niagara peaches in August!

5. Kindness, compassion and respect.
Things that I am not: I'm not into gambling, nor an abuser of alcohol, and dislike violence in all forms, racist attitudes and rudeness... I'm not a corporate Type-A individual - there is far more to Life than work work work and the unhealthy stressors that it creates. Have never been into the bar scene, drunken partying or one-night stands.
I'm grateful to have had a good, down-to-earth European-style upbringing that valued hard work, education, compassion and respect to oneself and others. I put my dating on hold for a while when, as an only child, I had to focus on eldercare and place my priorities in that area- a major factor why I'm still unattached at this stage in life and it's not being a 'bachelor for life' as many have falsely judged me... (plus I only recently turned 49, but am much younger in spirit). I've had a good life, and am looking to share in this journey with someone.

Call me "old school", but I prefer face-to-face time and chatting by phone rather than texting, tweeting etc., although initially e-mail is a great start!
