Date a soulmate from Ontario, Canada. At various times, I have been described by others as hardworking, respectful, considerate, generous, active, creative and a little bit "off the wall". I like to enjoy life to the fullest and see the good in everyone. I am drawn to the unique aspects of life whether it is art, music, food or vacation destinations. I'll try pretty much anything AT LEAST once!
I have 2 kids that I love more than anything, a small house in the country and a dog named Mukluk. I have a group of really close friends that are absolutely awesome, and I'm on good relations with my immediate and extended family.
I am currently a professional computer programmer running my own business (since 2007) which keeps me busy, but being self employed also allows for a lot of flexibility with my schedule. It may sound kinda boring but hey, I love it and it pays the bills! :)
Past jobs that I have held have included such diverse positions as electronics designer/inventor, reactor maintenance, robotics engineer, lighting designer for live theatre and concerts and for a while, I was installing navigation systems into custom 35' and 50' racing catamarans...so I am fairly versatile...with lots of interesting stories to tell.
I also love to travel! I enjoy warm beaches, quiet cottages and places steeped in history. Camping, fancy Hotels, quaint BB's or cheapo Motel6's ... anything goes ... it all depends on the purpose of the trip and whatever is available. My last 3 destinations were Seoul, San Diego and Istanbul. Not sure where to go next ... it might be a trip to Disney with the kids or a photo-shoot in Thailand with a friend. Any suggestions? It would be great to have you for a travel partner on a future excursion!
My main hobby at present is digital photography and love to go out on "local" photo-hikes with like minded photogs every chance I get ... whether that is a Black and White shoot of the inner city or the interior of Algonquin Park or getting back stage at a concert. I have also been the "official" photographer at a few weddings in the past.
For the "Myers-Briggs" folks out there, I am an INTP (Introverted iNtuitive Thinking Perceiving). Don't make the mistake of thinking that Introverted means boring ... it just means that I usually operate under the radar. I am, by nature, a peace keeper and will always help someone out if they ask.
Creativity is a huge part of my life, whether it is music, graphics, photos, cooking or coding, I am most happy when I am making/building something. I am also pretty handy when it comes to home renovations and generally fixing 'schtuph'.
My beliefs are very important to me and I always try to stay true to them, but I am not the kind of person who would ever try to impose those beliefs onto anyone else. That being said, I am certainly willing to talk about them IF someone is interested.
I believe that everyone deserves to be treated with politeness and respect and I place high value on friendship, trust and integrity. Do you feel the same way?

I’m a secure, stable professional who loves his work and finds it very rewarding, but the fact remains: I work to live, not vice versa. I've never been married and have no kids, mostly due to having lived a somewhat itinerant lifestyle, including stops in Japan, France, Sweden. My decision to return to Canada was based primarily on being closer to my family.
I’m well-rounded and have eclectic tastes and enjoy a variety of interests. Witty banter is de rigeur, though my sarcastic side remains good-natured. Staying active is important to me and I have a high level of endurance that I pride myself on. Learning/trying new things is important to me and I can be pretty spontaneous. I love the outdoors (all seasons) and find that being in natural surroundings is a great way to unwind life's knots. I believe in pub (not club), am more of a morning person than a night owl, and love a good glass of grape to go along with equally good conversation.

I am an engineer and I really enjoy my job. It is fun because I get to do a wide variety of tasks from management to consulting. One fringe benefit of the job is travel. I've been lucky enough to visit some amazing places like Europe, Western Canada, and the Southwestern US. It would be amazing to be able to travel with someone special.
Outside of work, I have a wide variety of interests. I love skiing and try to go as often as I can. Skiing fresh powder at Whistler is an awesome experience that I would love to share with someone. I really enjoy nature and the outdoors and like to go for walks in local conservation areas or on the Bruce Trail.
I also have a passion for music and have been playing guitar since I was 14 years old. I have a fairly wide range of musical tastes that range from rock, blues, alternative, soul, funk, reggae, and jazz.
I am an animal lover and have had both dogs and cats over the years, but I don't have a pet at the moment.
I enjoy movies, reading, and art as well. I tend to prefer action movies or drama but I'm open to your favourites as well. I like reading but I haven’t read as much lately as I would like. At the moment, I have mainly been reading travel, ski, and guitar magazines and a few historical novels. Maybe you could introduce me to some interesting new authors?
My tastes in art lean towards the Group of Seven and West Coast Native carvings but I'm open to all kinds of art. I joined the Hamilton Art Gallery last year and it has been fun to check out the exhibits. Going to an art gallery that I haven’t visited before with someone like you would be a fun date.
I like to go out with friends to the pub (or see live music or a sporting event) and talk and catch up on how they are doing. I try to keep in touch with friends that I've known throughout my life including high school, university, and work. I am a baseball fan and enjoy seeing a Blue Jays game on a nice sunny afternoon.
