Like a lot of people these days, I have become a bit of a foodie and just finished my first, of what I expect to be many, cooking classes. I am still working on what will be my "signature dish", but for now I love experimenting with Mexican and south western flavours. I'm also a big fan of one pot cooking...partially motivated by less dishes. I also am really interested in interior design and decorating. Travel is my biggest passion. While I appreciate the cultural icons, I prefer to just experience a city by walking around, eating in local restaurants and watching the people. I have lived overseas a few times, seen a good chunk of Europe, and still do one big trip every summer. My dream is to spend a few months traveling through south east Asia.

Usually all of the above, in varying order. I love the diversity of this city, the charm of it's neighbourhoods, the green spaces and food markets. If it is sunny outside, I don't want to be inside. If it is freezing outside, there must be a cinema that is screening a documentary or foreign film, somewhere. I'm in love with Projection Booth right now! A fun night could mean finding a dance party, or getting competitive over board games and debating the merits of two tier health care. In either case, just add wine.
I'm interested in meeting people outside of my social circle. Something that is so easy to do while traveling or living in a new city, but challenging when you're already amongst friends and family that you love spending time with. At least, challenging for me.
