By day, I am a vice principal of a secondary school, and by day and night, I am a mom of two. Being a mom can be oh, challenging at times, however, I couldn’t imagine life without my two children. Between my wonderful kids and the high school students who I work with each day, I can firmly say, I keep my youthfulness in tact! Although I do have a serious and very responsible side to me, I do suffer from wanting to play around – and play around a lot! I really do believe in a work-life balance. I love what I do professionally, and I have many career aspirations but my family, friends and fun matter more.

I take care of myself physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. I am a marathon runner and tend to run too many half marathons but that is not too bad a habit (and I have many shiny medals!) I also coach new runners, love to read and practice yoga. I love fitness but do also like to relax and eat something not so healthy once in a while too!
Family is very important to me - they are great! I never laugh so hard as I do with my brother and sisters! My parents are so supportive and understanding (and of course hilarious too). My wish is to be able to share that with someone one day. We have great family dinners (and eat way too much :))
I also wish to have my own family - little or big. Biological or otherwise. Bonds of love and happy memories are made up of a mish mash of people at times.
I have a professional designation and am very intelligent, creative and passionate about what I do but my career does not define all of me. It is a part of me that I have worked very hard for but I always have balance and do not work weekends.
On weekends I run, I like drives to the country, I love cottages (and will have one hopefully soon!), swimming, cycling, hiking - pretty much anything outside. And while inside, there is nothing quite like a wood burning fire, a glass of wine, a really nice dinner and someone you love to cuddle with and someone to talk to. I occasionally attend functions downtown and enjoy them. I am a newly certified scuba diver - even though I am claustrophobic, I overcome my fears as I love fish, turtles and whales.
Save the best for last? I love life, am an affectionate, warm, empathetic, very generous and loving person and seek someone I can talk to and will hold hands with me (it is such an important and loving gesture). Life is indeed too short for anything but goodness and beauty.
