Not afraid of hard work, returned to college as a mature student and graduated with honours - didn't think I could "preach" the value of a higher education to my children is I hadn't finished college myself. Believe in leadership by example.
Recently traveled to Ireland with my daughter, we were down in the Doolin caves one moment and were standing on the Cliffs of Moore a few hours later - thought how this was a metaphor life - we all go through rough times in our life- if we are lucky we have a traveling companion who is there to help us through, and if we are really lucky they will help us find some fantastic moment or insight and we will know why we have had to go though what ever the hardship was. Life also has a way of turning around - you can be down in the dumps (or caves) and with the right person at your side you can be standing looking out over the oceans of possibilities that lay ahead of you.
I am passionate about food, I love to cook and I garden so that I can have the freshest ingredients possible. I love to preserve what I have grown be it pickles, jams or preserves.
I'm exceedingly proud of my children - they have grown into fine young people who give back to the community, work hard and love their family.
I believe that trust is essential in a relationship and that it must grow and be cultivated with care. I'm looking for a man who can be honest with his thought and feelings, someone who will take the time to listen with both their heart and their mind. Some one who has come to know himself and will not judge their partner.
