Meet single man from Canada. I would like to start off by saying I was very leery about joining here. I have only dealt with people on a face to face basis but apparently this is the best way in this day and age! So, I am a single dad with 2 sons. My 10 year old son lives with me and I prize his time and presence above my own needs. Sound familiar? I'm sure it does for any single parent and the time constraints that go with it. Coming from a military background, honesty, loyalty, integrity, and strong moral values are paramount for me. I seek the same in friends and in relationships. Generosity is the greatest gift, and being a die hard romantic I enjoy spoiling those closest to me expecting nothing in return. Mind you that philosophy has bit me in the butt repeatedly lol. Now rather than try to list off all the activities I enjoy, it's better to say that I love to do everything, and try anything. All family time is precious, but I do miss some private time. Life is short and should be enjoyed and explored but not alone. I truly love romance in all it's forms, and as mentioned, enjoy spoiling the one I am with, but that person must also be independent, with goals and dreams. It’s important that she has friends and a life outside of me, along with a career or some type of daily activity. I feel that a relationship adds to ones life and should not become one's life. Intimacy is very important to me as well,l as I enjoy conversation and listening and I really want to know everything I can about the person I am with. People can be together for 25 years and never really know their partner. I am willing to open up completely and hide nothing, as long as the same is given to me.
Now, here is the important part! One thing that never seems to be touched on these sites is faults, and we all have them! It is so easy to make a list of all the things we want in a perfect "mate" or "friend" and even easier to brag about ourselves so I walk with an open mind and caution...(and hope you do too!)
