I truly enjoy outdoor activities such as gardening and also working with my hands especially with wood. I have begun rebuilding a wood boat and have repaired and sailed a number of small sailboats. I enjoy being with family. I have 5 grown children all married and several with children (my 6th. grandchild was just born.) I really enjoy history and have had the opportunity to travel to various parts of Europe. I would like to visit Italy more as well as Greece. Have had the opportunity to do volunteer work - spent 4 weeks in Ethiopia this past Fall teaching supervisors from their Ministry of Education. I read a lot and enjoy watching science fiction movies. Have just retired so getting used to the situation and exploring different options for part time work as well as volunteering - at the moment on the Board of a local university and a committee for the local hospital. I am interested in connecting with a lady who is positive, happy, willing to be adventuresome,not afraid to express herself but at the same time very interested in her partner. I have a bit of a romantic streak to me and that is why I enjoy riding my motorcycle in and around rural Ontario because of the beautiful scenery and great places that can be found. It is my hope that my partner would be interested and able to enjoy some of those adventures (not necessarily on a motorcycle!). Life can be a great adventure - we only have one to live and we need to seize the moment because it may not return.
Do not get me wrong - I also enjoy quiet moments around the fireplace - a glass of wine or a scotch - a great cigar and a good book or stimulating conversation. Would you be interested?
