I am a second year university student starting in the fall. My program is Concurrent Education in the primary junior stream with a major in Child and Youth Studies. I love to teach and work with children so the program is a good fit for me, although the only downside is that I am not be able to take as many geography courses as I would like.
Speaking of geography I feel inclined to mention my overall interest in earth sciences and the environment. As a result of these interests, I love to spend time in the great outdoors, leading to my involvement in activities such as camping and hiking.
Given my chosen career path and my interest in geography I also want to travel. I am not picky in terms of the destination, as I want to experience a variety of cultures, but if I had to choose I would go to Egypt in a heartbeat.
I might seem quiet and shy to someone who is meeting me for the first time, but if you were to ask my closest friends they would say that in general I am purposefully quiet and not as shy once I get to know someone. If you asked them to describe me further they would probably mention that I am creative, optimistic, and a good listener.
Overall, I am looking for someone with similar interests to my own, a good sense of humour, and a positive outlook on life.
