I prefer communication the old fashioned way: by putting pen to paper or the old telephone. About me: I am currently 48 years of age. I am self employed: a lawyer by trade. I still write my letters and draft my pleadings by hand. I have a dayplanner; a large paper one. No Blackberry for this guy. Fortunately I have an assistant who can read my writing. I try to confine my work schedule to Monday to Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. although that is not always possible. I enjoy week about with my 11 year old son. He is the centre of my universe. I understand exactly what it means to have children of your own and the importance of the mother/child relationship. In my own case my son enjoys a great relationship with both of his parents. I respect that in a new partner. On my off weeks my son and I talk for a few minutes every day. I enjoy working out, whether it be jogging, cycling, weights or machines or anything to do with the water, whether it be swimming, water skiing or just plain boating. My favorite pursuit in the summer is barefoot waterskiing. My Mastercraft Barefoot 200 is my pride and joy. I enjoy cooking and find that it is a great stress reliever. Dining out at the end of a busy week with the right company can also be enjoyable. I love to travel: Ontario, Canada, South in the winter (Florida for waterskiing or Cuba for rest and relaxation are my favorite destinations although I have enjoyed a cruise in the past and would not hesitate to go on another one). I have been to Europe several times but not since 1995. I look forward to returning in the near future. I am looking forward to meeting someone who is laid back as am I; somone who enjoys an evening by the fireplace as much as going out on the town, someone who values quiet time and family time as much as "party time".
