I just moved here a few months ago. I am a really independent person, so I spend a lot of time by myself, partly because I like to, and it helps me stay focused on my goals, and partly because I have only lived here for a short period of time. I went to college here for Music Industry as it is my passion and am currently working out some plans to go back to college and/or university ASAP. Nobody really gets what I'm doing here because I had a fantastic job back at home but it's all in the eye of the beholder, right? It's going to take somebody really spectacular to understand what's going upstairs with this guy. :) I'm a dreamer.

I'd like to think of myself as a cool, calm, and collected individual; the kind of person who knows where they are and hopefully where they are going. I have a set of aspirational goals and am doing my best to reach them.
I would describe myself as a bit of a nerd; just not the suspenders, pocket protector, and thick-rimmed glasses kind of nerd. I say that because of the industry I work in (Video Game development), my love for comic books, movies, and fantasy themed novels (I'm not ashamed to say that I've read almost every published Star Wars book). At the same time however, I'm not a complete Steve Urkel as I have a pretty solid group of friends, I don't live in my parents basement, I enjoy being active, eating healthy, and am only slightly socially awkward. I'm a new age nerd if you will.
In addition to those nerdy qualities described above I have a topical interest in: stand-up comedy, physical fitness (I'm currently training to do the Tough Mudder in August), art, philosophy, politics, and ways in which we can better ourselves as a whole (I waste a lot of time at work watching TED videos). I have a hard time narrowing down myself into convenient points so if you'd like to know more feel free to ask!
Ideally I'm looking for someone who shares the same core values and fundamental worlds views as myself, but no carbon copies. I think a difference in opinions and interests is necessary for a healthy friendship. If we can keep each other on our toes then we'd make great partners in crime.
