I am a social worker and I love what I do. I am going back to school in the fall to do my Masters of Social Work part-time. My job is pretty stressful so when I am not working I like to relax and just have fun. I love to laugh and have a great sense of humor (at least I think so….). I have been told I have a very sarcastic/dry sense of humor. I would hope to think my friends and family would describe me as caring, responsible, fun and sweet. I can be a great listener and very supportive. I am very close to my family and friends and mean the world to me.
I equally enjoy going out on the weekends with friends just as much as staying in and watching a movie or playing some games. I would say I am pretty easy going and up for trying new things. I try to workout at least four times a week. I recently started running and my goal is to do a 10k (without passing out). I also a cardio kickboxing class that I love…it’s a good stress reliever. I find cooking fun but don’t have much skill at it yet and would like to learn more. In my down time, I usually just read or watch a movie.
I am looking for a guy with a great sense of humor and can make me laugh. Someone who is caring, sweet, thoughtful, social, good listener and communicator…now I might be being too picky but I feel I share all these qualities and can offer the same. I would like someone who can be serious when needed but can relax and let loose the rest of the time.

I like that I can make other people laugh. I'm not afraid to make a funny face if nothing else will get a laugh and it means cheering someone up. I like that I'm a happy person. Everybody has days, but I have way more good ones than bad, and I think it's because I try to see the positive side of things. I love my own cooking. I love experimenting. I find this “about me” section to be difficult to complete so I asked my closest friends (a small group of people who I have known for most of my life) for some help – in other words all my statements can be confirmed with them (if you’re lucky enough to meet them!).
One of the first things they noticed about me was that I was nice but quiet until I feel comfortable around them and then I can be quite sarcastic/funny. This is very true – I quite the reputation of being very sarcastic and having some a solid comebacks. You have been warned that if you do/say something silly/stupid I will notice and you will receive a comment. On the rare occasion, I do/say something stupid you also have permission to say something.

Weird random fact – I have a crazy ability to recall conversations I have with friends and family. This means that I do have a habit of recalling something funny and laughing at random moments.
Another side effect of my crazy memory is that I remember what friends are actually saying and will go out of my way to recognize an event in their life. IРІР‚в„ўve been known to send an email, buy a coffee, or send a card if someone I care about it has something going on in their life. I truly believe that little things on a regular basis are more important than big things on an irregular basis.
I am very dedicated to my job. I have been fortunate enough to have secured my job in my chosen career shortly after graduating University. I enjoy my job (…most days) and I have aspirations to continue advancing and this sometimes means staying in and getting my beauty sleep over late night adventures. However, part of the reason why I enjoy my career is because the hours are relatively flexible and once my workday is done I can leave my work behind.
In my spare time, I try and go to the gym on a regular basis but I admit some weeks IРІР‚в„ўm more successful then others. I like small get togethers with friends either at a restaurant or at home which allow us to talk and get caught up. I like to read (mostly thrillers but lately I have been reading autobiographies/memoirs I like knowing how events have shaped people into who they are), watch tv and movies.

A little about me...
I think others would consider me outgoing and kind-hearted. I like to make the best of any and all situations, and as such I generally have fun doing just about anything. I love meeting new people, but I also place great importance on maintaining the friendships that I have and/or make. Almost to a fault, I put the needs of others ahead of my own, but I really can't imagine it any other way because if others are happy than I am as well.
I would guess that people would call me ambitious, but I think they are mistakening ambition for passion. Anything that I have accomplished hasn't been because I was neccessarily driven to succeed or to accomplish goals, it was because of my desire to help others.
I love to laugh and to make others laugh, even if it is at the expense of my own embarrassment. Fortunately, I am very secure with myself and comfortable with the person that I am. When you are the youngest of four kids you grow a tough skin - there is very little that I can't handle.
I have the most amazing family in the world (actually though), who are, without question, the most important people in my life. There isn't anything I wouldn't do for any one of them, and I am priviledged to live with the comfort of knowing that they feel the same.

Trying out this whole Match thing, trying to get away from the same-old, same-old. Little reluctant, but according to reliable sources (*cough-the Internet-cough*) more people are doing this online dating thing ..... so why can't I be one of those people?
