My greatest accomplishments are my 2 sons 30 and 27 years old..and so very grateful for their health and determination to succeed in life and live their lives fully. My job is done with these guys so it's time for Mama to seek out a great guy that will live, laugh and love with me as we move on to new adventures. I am a very social person, but cherish moments of solitude as I enjoy playing the piano and reading. I love to smile and giggle and can find humor in most situations or at least try. We have one long journey on this planet and it's important for me to feel like I'm living each day the best way I can and to celebrate whenever we can. I will always love a person that smiles! There's an adage that I'm particularly fond of..."what if someone you never met, someone you never saw, someone you never knew turned out to be someone for you?" I think I can put that to piano one day...maybe when I'm really old and they tie me to "baby" for support...regardless of the relationship, be it lover, friendship, meeting new co-workers, your new and chosen"family" or redefining your "hood" with a move, I believe this happens everyday. And so I need to believe in this form of communication too. Now let's talk about attributes..not sounding bossy here..but we all have them..and we are all a little sprinkled with maybe some other issues that may or may not be savoury depending on who is looking into your life. So, I'm taking a stab as to what I value in a special man..54 years on this planet and I haven't quite nailed that one yet..I know he has to have substance..you know, the real meat and potatoes..honest, caring, a bit of intellectual, a lot of laughing and smiling, and, oh yeah, a good loser when it comes to cards. Conversational and spontaneity are must-haves. I'm looking for my best friend here, not a fly-by-night-seat-of-my-pants type of guy...did I mention a big heart? I want to listen to the same type of music, ok? So, I wish for a 53-62 year old. I'm not into cougar like moves and I'm not quite near the "walker stage". Rock n' Roll and dancing is still alive and well in me. Must be tall..hello..I'm 5'10"..I'm not into stooping or developing a hunchback @ this stage. I need to look @ that special someone right in the eye or wear heels to do same. I'm looking for my special man.

I am a dog lover, as you can see in my pics. Family and friends are very important to me. I feel I am a very trustworthy friend and am also looking for the same in a mate. I have been on my own for awhile and am financially stable. Some say I can have a bit of a warped sense of humour, but it does keep others on their toes.
I realize we all have some baggage that comes with us. Generally speaking, my baggage is small enough to fit under the seat! Date a woman from Canada. I recently moved to London, Ontario so no longer live on the farm. I am busy unpacking and writing, painting, exploring the city and enjoying my new apartment. Today I bought a Beta fish and named him Al(short for Alpha). I needed someone to talk to while I unpack. I laugh out loud at America's Home Videos although I don't watch it that often. In fact friends and family like to watch me laugh while I watch that show! I am very selective about who I allow into my life. I want to take things slow, find someone I can relate to first. I am fine being single but am open to sharing my life with someone who is on the same path.I'm very much into downsizing and living simply. I have been gardening/landscaping the yard and getting my hands dirty.. I'm pretty handy with a hammer or a paintbrush. In fact I sold my first painting and I didn't even know the person. Of course, I wouldn't expect my friends and family to pay. Painting is a hobbie I hope to pursue in the near future. I can't respond to e-mails yet because I haven't signed up yet. I plan to sign up soon. I have been commissioned to write a book that has me busy but due to the contract, I cannot discuss the content. Not until it's published of course.
Until recently, I have worked with university students with disabilities(mostly Deaf). I know sign language and some Greek(I lived there years ago so I am really rusty) I've read many profiles and realize my story sounds boring.
