Meet a soulmate from Markham, Canada. A little about me ... I LOVE the outdoors and being active! All year round. One of my favourite activities is running, especially trail running in forest areas just north of where I live. ItРІР‚в„ўs amazing to see the changes throughout the seasons, and on a few occasions IРІР‚в„ўve had frosty eye lashes and hair after running in -20 degree weather ... definitely wakes you up in the morning! And the carrot at the end of a good run .... coffee time with friends! Last year, I took up cycling and enjoyed getting used to the clips and exploring the countryside (two topple overs so far because of not getting the clips off in time :)))). Golf, rollerblading, hiking ... they all rank up there for me. In the winter, I also enjoy snowshoeing and skiing.
IРІР‚в„ўm a big believer in work/life balance, and try to take advantage of travel opportunities (Europe .... favourite spots are Paris, the Amalfi Coast, Ireland and Austria ... Greece is #1 on my wish list). I have to say I love many parts of North America as well .... amazing cities like New York, San Francisco, Chicago, and Scottsdale. Top of my list of places and things to do in NA .... go hiking and/or skiing in Colorado or Wyoming, visit New York City around Christmas, San Antonio and San Diego.
As far as hobbies, I love cooking & baking, especially for my friends and family! With some good music in the background, and a glass of vino, I could spend hours in the kitchen (even more fun sharing and creating with someone else?). Thai, Indian, Seafood and Mediterranean foods are tops for enjoyment for me, although IРІР‚в„ўm game for going out for any types of food.
This year I have a new addition to my family ... Murphy :)) He's a 5-1/2 month old mini goldendoodle and I just adore him! Murphy just graduated from puppy class. I'm a first time pet owner and loving it!
I love kids and although I donРІР‚в„ўt have any of my own, IРІР‚в„ўve volunteered for a childrenРІР‚в„ўs charity for kids with cancer for the past 9 years. They inspire me in so many ways, and last year they inspired me to register for a cycling event to raise money for this charity. I bought a road bike last May, started training, and in August 2011, I cycled 226km over a weekend for this event. If you had asked me two years ago if this was something I would or could do, I would have said you were crazy .... just goes to show what setting your mind to achieve can do :)) I registered for the same event this year, got my bike tuned, and am ready to start pedalling into action!!
As far as who IРІР‚в„ўd love to meet ... someone who has a genuine warmth and kindness, and also has a fun and playful side. They also have a good work/life balance and can kick back and enjoy time with friends and family.
