Just a few basic things about me:
I am a simple person who wants a simple life. :) Just looking for a man who wants the same. Nothing flashy. I don't need to live in a mansion, I don't need diamonds or expensive gifts. Best gift is a man who cares enough about you to ask how your day was and worry about your general well-being.
I would jump in front of a bus for ANY ONE of my family members, so to say that family is important to me, is an understatement.
I have steady employment. I LOVE to garden, particularly sunflowers but I will plant other things as well. I love reading, baking, going out once in a while, hanging with girlfriends, house parties. I try to stay as healthy as possible, and work out 4 times a week. In March of this year, I started drinking green smoothies every morning. While I try to eat as healthy as possible, I am not a calorie counter and will not hesitate to inhale chocolate, ice cream etc. but I DO try to limit such indulgences. Getting older, means metabolism will change before you blink again. :)
MUSIC: While I won't GENERALIZE like so many do and say EVERYTHING, because it's not true. I listen to pop, rock, country and some older stuff from the 60's and 70's.
Things that I love:
Mornings, they are SO FRESH and brand new.
Babies, they are SO INNOCENT and miraculous, it's amazing.
Watching a plant/flower/vegetable grow from a seed.
Putting up bird feeders, filling them with wild bird seed and then watching the BLUE JAYS fly around in the yard. Pretty amazing.
The clouds (yes, I'll admit, I sometimes have my head in them as well, but not often, I am usually a PRETTY GROUNDED individual). I love looking at them, they are JUST THERE and so natural and clean-looking.
Learning.
Talking to older people, they know a LOT MORE than me.
Things that bother me:
The option SOME COLLEGE OR SOME UNIVERSITY. Why doesn't it say College Diploma (of which I have one and a certificate) or University Degree? The option makes it sound like you went to college/university and then DROPPED OUT before completing it.
People who think that their opinion is THE LAW and we all have to agree with it. It's an opinion, everyone has the right to one and is entitled to their own. If you don't agree with it, JUST be happy it isn't YOUR OPINION, no need to condemn the person.
People who live beyond their means. It's annoying and unnecessary. I try to be happy with what I've got and make the best of it. I try not to dwell on what I don't have. It just makes you miserable.
People who are rude to waiters or really to anyone. No one is above or beneath you, I feel you should just try to treat everyone with equal respect.
People fighting over FOOD, it's food, you can buy more. I was always brought up to share and feed people. It's in my blood, I suppose.
People who say things and then don't follow through. That is SUCH FLAKEY behaviour. If you tell someone you're going to call/email/text/meet, then STAND BY YOUR WORD and do it. If I make a date or say I'll do something, I will, if circumstances arise where I couldn't follow through, it would be because circumstances were beyond my control. This is the trouble I find with internet dating. Too many flakes to wade through... :)
BTW, if you email me or try to contact me, I WILL respond. My take is this: If someone STICKS their neck out there and tries to contact you, you should take that as a compliment that they were interested in you enough to initiate contact and at the VERY LEAST respond whether it is a YAY or a NAY.
P.S. NONE of my pics are more than a year old except for the cowboy hat photo. That one is my favourite though, so I stuck it up. :)

I like to read and own a Kobo which I load up with books but never have enough time to read them all. I like to travel to new and exciting places. I'm pretty easy going and up for anything fun!
