Wkend getaways or simply just doing... nothing. Saturday Globe, a walk/hike, drinks on a patio (does all this sound like a cliche?). Wandering around different cities. It's often the small things - literally taking time to smell the flowers and not let's fly off to Tuscany. (OK, whom I kidding - that'd be pretty terrific). I am not religious at all, if you are or should it make a difference, as a kid we celebrated Chanukah but also had a Christmas tree.
Hard to say exactly what I'm looking for since sometimes life can catch us off guard we then discover what is really "perfect" but since I'm here... The proverbial list. I like learning about a persons' story. It's fascinating to me what has brought someone to this point in their life. It's true you can't judge a book by its cover. You'll make me laugh, if you're witty, don't take yourself too seriously and have a sense of ha-ha. You'll probably have many friends and activities independent of me which will add interesting dimensions to our conversations. How lovely to enjoy time with our friends alone and at other times, entertain together.
I feel blessed each day to have my health and have the ability to enjoy all that life has to offer. I'm always ready to try new adventures in the city and am ready for travel with only a carry-on bag...yes it is possible even with a minimum of 4 pairs of shoes. Is your passport up-to-date?
Don't you love taking on a new challenge, not worrying whether you'll be any good at it but just for the opportunity to learn, expand your repetoire of tricks and for the sheer enjoyment of it. I recently began piano lessons. While I'm no threat to any real muscians I am learning to listen with a greater understanding of how a piece has been built and is meant to be played....now if I can just learn what the black keys are for :)
I love to be active whether it's checking out a new museum exhibit, going to the gym or just socializing with friends. We'll both always have ideas for things to do, people to see, places to go. But then everyone needs some downtime to recharge their batteries. Even I have learned the art of living slower and am amazed at the good things this has brought to my life.
