This was not to intentionally drive my parents nuts but I loved to explore, and having an expansive playground in the countryside was a kid’s domain for exhilarating adventures. Looking back I’ve always kind of felt a little bad knocking over the neighbor’s fence posts and having them understand that there were horses spotted running loose...
All grown up and a bit cleaner I realize how much I cherish the time spent with family and friends, explaining how burning bags of leaves on the doorstep made great mysterious smoke signals that horses can spot from far distances, and by placing a few frogs in the mailbox was undoubtedly a lovely surprise for the warm, elderly couple up the street. I truly appreciate the love and support that I have with them.
Friendly and compassionate by nature’s design believe it or not is how I turned out. I enjoy helping out others whenever I can by telling them where to go. If someone is looking for the parking infractions office I can generally give them directions with a smile. So if you also like to have a bit fun and humour and enjoy laughing at every opportunity I’ll understand where you’re coming from.
For the most part I like to maintain a moderate level of exercise or activity and always game for almost any activity. Going for a rollerblade on a sunny weekend or making divots in the grass playing a game of golf or mini putt – though divots are tricky in mini putt... are a few things that I like for fun. Feet to the pedals taking a ride on the bike trail is also a great outdoor activity I enjoy. I try to be aware of making healthier choices with food and nutrition and although nowhere near perfect I’m looking to improve myself on all levels of health, so a partner who embraces these ideas or also working to improve their own level of health and activity is a bonus.
I’ve been to the beautiful shores of PEI and enjoyed some great golfing (saw Anne of Green Gables!), and I’ve brushed the evergreen treetops skiing in Fernie BC. I definitely like to travel some more, perhaps a trip out west somewhere for a mountain bike trek or rollerblading in the sunny south.
I’m gainfully employed and always looking to improve the work/life balance, such as with my recent found adventures with home renovating. Although DIY-TV has not called me yet, I can assure you the demolition went very smoothly. Even the appraiser made comments with my undertaking and said something about he would be taking a long vacation...
I remember the first time I saw the gorgeous view of the big city lights at night driving along the escarpment as they shimmered and glowed, it was a breathtaking sight. And I remember how clear the night sky was that year up in Collingwood, lying on a flatbed truck and looking up to the stars they sparkled so clear and bright it seemed I could reach out for one and pull it close. I want to have that feeling back. I really miss that truck ;)

I guess that's why they're my friends :-) I've never been married or have kids. I have a rewarding job and don't mind putting in a few extra hours, but equally enjoy spending time with family friends. It's all about balance! I'm also entrepreneurial and dabble in tech start ups.
I come from a small European family and have a close relationship with my parents and younger brother. Although I have no children of my own, I enjoy spending time with my nephew. Travelling has also taught me how much I love living in Canada and it's opportunities and multiculturalism we sometimes take for granted.
